haha I thought hte rolleyes emoticon was the sick one

Could have used it anyways.

Seattle's noise is a particular problem for the Niners because of their offensive system. All the formations and shifts at the line are a lot harder to do without being able to talk at the line. The Niners condensed their playbook before this game due to issues with this, but it didn't seem to help. There is also a question of whether Hunter should be seeing more snaps than Gore, and if they need to use their non-pistol sets more often to establish the run game.

Basically, the run game was the difference in the game. Both defenses played well, though the Niners gave up a big run for a TD. Both QBs played poorly with a few big plays each. The real difference was Lynch and the inability of the Niners offense to execute their plays. In the previous game in Seattle, it was the same deal.  That's why I'm not worried about Seattle coming to SF, because the Niners will be running their normal playbook. They either better get homefield advantage or figure out how to play in Seattle. Maybe more pro sets or more spread offense so Kaepernick can read the field and slang.

The Bengals need to get their crap together today.  They've thrown the ball to Green once today and it was a crap throw.  The rest of the time, they've handed it off to a RB and it's caused them to have their third fourth straight turnover during a possession.

Jesus Christ, what the hell is happening in Cincy today.  Somebody on that offensive lineup needs to learn how to block, and they need to toss the damned ball to Green.

Nice play from the rookies. Ansah looking great with 2 sacks, and Fauria continues to impress...

I know he got some interest last year, but I feel like there's a reason he didn't end up anywhere. The fans do not love him. They didn't love his playcalling the last two years. They hated those playcalls in the redzone in the Super Bowl. I think there's questions about how good he really is.

He gets too cute, tries to do things his team isn't good at, and wastes downs and drives. Just looking at this Colts game, it was hard to see anything in the routes and plays that schemed to get receivers open. The Niners never run screens, so teams don't have to respect that. The only counter to all-out pass rush they ever had was Kap and Smith's mobility.

Today, every pass was Kaep trying to lazer it into a window. No plays just to get drives going. They have one good drive that was full of Pro Sets and power running, and leads to a TD. Surprise, suprise, doing the thing your entire personnel is built around and has succeeded with results in successful offense. After that? More slanging. Gore had 82 yards rushing, almost all of it in the first half. In the second half, they open up in shotgun and run verticals.

He got a lot of credit for involving the pistol offense and read option, but there's been no expanding upon it this year.

After three weeks:
Seattle Seahawks 3-0
The rest of the NFC West 3-6

Still super early, but that's not a great for Arizona, St. Louis and San Francisco all starting out 1-2.

Also- Falcons are reverting back to reality.  They had like six games decided by a touchdown or less last season... and won ALL of them.  That sort of thing isn't sustainable, especially when you ignore your biggest deficiency (secondary)

Guess I get to go back to being a trolling Pats fan this season!  :heh

I got a text from a friend asking what is wrong with the 9ers and that is what I said, "The play calling sucks!" If you don't want Kap to run, stop running the read option!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Defenses don't buy it anymore.
Oh, we ran the ball very well in the 1st half. Let's completely abandon that in the second half!
