A few days ago i bought the sims 3 for $50 a few days after it came out,so i try to play it and it totaly sucks!!!!! THE GRAPHICS ARE HORRIBLE,ALL THE PEOPLE LOOK FAT NO MATTER WHAT YOU DO,THERE ISN'T MUCH OF A HAIR AND CLOTHES SELECTION,THE HOUSES ARE SMALL AND UGLY,I CAN'T MOVE AROUND THE WAY IT DOES ON SIMS 2! I've played DS1 and am waiting to see if they include 2 with 3 in the bundle. Same for Crysis. I don't really want to skip games when most of that bundle is 50% owned by me in some form already.

The LPer played solo too, and it's so jarring when the guy your co-op partner would control constantly pops in from off-screen during cutscenes as if to suggest that he was always with you all along, only to disappear immediately.

Haven't tried it myself but I wouldn't be surprised if it did use the same saves. They seem to be kept in the same location at least. Incidentally, I remember someone on gaf saying they replaced all the files in the steam folder of mirrors edge with those from origin, including the dlc, and it all launched and worked through steam without a problem.

This seems more like a trojan horse to get people to install Origin, I guess EA must really be hurting if they need to throw up some of their biggest games to force people on the service.

EA probably realized that accidentally giving away all those games on Origin last year was the best promotion Origin's ever had.

Origin isn't that bad.  It's basically a reskinned Steam with no community features. 

But those community features mean I have no reason to keep it running outside of playing whatever freebies I own.  Valve has done a great job of making me want to use their DRM.

It might happen but I can't recall a bundle being updated twice. The update we did get was a day later than expected so I wouldn't be surprised if some changes went on behind the scenes after EA saw how successful it was. Bit odd that we now have three sequels without the preceding games.

You shouldn't need to go offline with Origin.

Just launch it from Steam (if you added it as a non-Steam game) or Origin and it'll cloud-save load and then open a tab or open your browser to Battlelog. Then multiplayer->serverbrowser->join server.

It's clunky but it isn't that bad.
