Having only two people raise children seems dumb anyway, considering how useless and vulnerable infants are. Giant families or entire villages where everybody shoulders a tiny bit of responsibility, that's where it's at. Kumbaya, etc.

Having kids when you are young is better because you still have energy to take care of them. If you are just starting to change diapers in your late 30's/early 40's then  :ufup

All 3 of mine will be out of high school before I'm 50. :rejoice

You can make fun all you want but Polari has a point

It's always the poor underclass with 5 kids, while the educated upper class has 2 tops.

Do you ever really know yourself tho  :ohhh :yeshrug

If you have kids and your parents are taking care of your kids more often than you are or you're out clubbing. Then, seriously, you should have got that shit out of your system before you popped some kids out.

Pro-tip: The type of person that is that neglectful and irresponsible to do that sort of thing routinely lacks character and more than likely won't change; they'd probably be shitty parents if they had kids later in life too.

Also true but some people do mature a bit for whatever reason. Some obviously don't. That's always unfortunate.

Mandark brought up the Flynn Effect, which is apparently about how average intelligence worldwide is always increasing.

But you also have to consider that in first-world and in developing nations, you're starting to have to learn more before you can get a desirable job. Gradually, things like the level of schooling you've completed and especially practical skills like math and literacy will universally rise as jobs that are mostly labor-intensive will start being automated.

I'm not including people who can't stand to ever work/use birth control and just don't give a damn about providing for their kids but that's probably a negligible minority. The movie Polari is talking about assumes they'll eventually outbreed everyone else.
