I'd have to have played a Kingdom Hearts game to be able to replay it. I always get bored a few hours in.

Don't do it Joe.

Why not play one of those 1500 steam games you have?

Purchased today, waiting on Amazon delivery Tuesday. In my defense, I have two kids who love Disney, and a full week at my sister's home with my niece still ahead of me.

spoiler (click to show/hide)
And then there's the more honest answer: It's an Open World Game and it is an excuse to buy action figures.

I had $55 in RZ credit that I could have used on it, but instead I bought a $50 Steam Gift Card with it. 8)

My son and I have played a lot of this. It is by and large ambitious, fun, surprisingly varied, oddly consistent, and frustratingly obtuse in navigating between its various modes.

Getting into a movie-themed Toybox is easy, getting into an empty Toybox or one using default blocks from one of the movie-themes is also easy.

Getting into one of the default or figure-specific Adventures is just silly. Players have to be in some form of generic Toybox first, then Start Menu > Travel > Adventures -- This allows going to one Adventure, but instead of being able to go to another one directly, players must quit out to heir previous generic Toybox, then menu it up again.

There's a Title Update out for this today.  Not sure if it fixes any bugs, or just adds more Toyboxes or Adventures. Online info only seems to detail the August TU.

The patch fixed at least one bug for me. Incredibles world had a bug where it wouldn't allow me to place the fourth of four buildings, and displayed raw code in its error message. I was able to place it last night, and progress the missions with it. Previously I'd had to swap buildings in and out, which could have introduced its own associated errors.

I'll need to peek at Monsters University to see if that flag bug is gone. Otherwise I'll have to replay the story from scratch.

I know it was a bit much to hope for a Playset of Nightmare Before Christmas... but Frozen's getting one, as did The Lone Ranger. That's just kind of sad, for a movie which has made more money for them than the latter two ever will.
