So $199 Vita and price drops for the memory card, plus Borderlands 2.

No resdesign?  Anything else coming?

Did I miss something, or was the BL2 port the only new retail Vita title announced? Even I thought we'd at least see Bend's game and something new from Ubisoft. Well, at least the goalpost-moving will be entertaining.

The MSRP/RRP was $99.99 so it's a 20% price drop. You can currently get one for $78.51 from Amazon.com so I guess the new price will be about $63.

It would be nice to have a bit more space, but I'm doing fine with my 16 GB card.

it was $99.99

places like amazon would usually have it for 80-85 so hopefully that lower price will continue since the price is now 80

seems like 16 is gonna be my new target since the 32 is still a bit much (if that shit goes to 50 on some deal I would possibly bite)  :'(

Borderlands 2 on Vita sounds fucking awesome, but not quite sure it's enough to get me on board. Maybe if I can find a system for ~$120

I ....kind of want one. :-[ Want a PS3 too though and there's obviously more to play on it even with the fact that I already own a 360 so virtually all multiplat titles are a nonfactor.

Would there be any issue with Vita having an android based OS compatible with android games/apps?

That might have made it a better value.

That's what I thought they should have done to begin with, have a curated Android market like the Amazon app store.

Performance, piracy, Sony not being able to take a cut (although they'd run their own store I guess).

If it goes down to $150 I'd consider picking it up for Memories of Celceta.

I still remember that Black Friday deal where I got the white Vita, an AssCrud game, and a 4 GB memory card for $170 :rejoice

At this point I'd say the Vita is worth owning if and only if you get it for dirt cheap ($150 max with a memory card thrown in).  $199 is still too high.  I probably will buy another 32 GB memory card so I hope I can snag on for $60 or something here later this year during a sale.
