Uplay, Ubisoft's digital platform, has been confirmed for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

Uplay will be available on all the titles in Ubisoft's next-generation lineup, which includes Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag, The Crew, The Division and Watch Dogs.

Also set for next-gen consoles are the recently announced Child of Light, Valiant Hearts and Trials Fusion.

Ubisoft said users will benefit from Uplay services and features using one unique profile when the PS4 and Xbox One go on sale this November.

We imagine Uplay on next-gen consoles will work similarly to how it does on current-gen consoles. On current-gen, Ubisoft games include an option in their main menus that, when selected, boots the Uplay application. This takes you out of the game, displaying a feed of social events and showing what you and your friends have done in-game, alongside the Uplay points you've been awarded. You can spend these Uplay points on in-game items, for example.

Sure you can play that Ubisoft game offline, just register and log into your ubisoft account first so they can verify ownership. :P

Uplay has been doing this for years already. Splinter Cell Conviction came out in 2010 and has all the Uplay app stuff.

I'm gonna be lining up at midnight for an Xbone I've decided. Someone needs to take one for the team

Playstation Network also got hacked a few years ago. Does that mean you're getting a Xbox One instead?

Keep unique passwords for every site/service and a hack isn't such a big deal.

Ubisoft is far from my favorite publisher, but I'm looking forward to Child of Light, Might & Magic X: Legacy, Tom Clancy's The Division, Valiant Hearts: The Great War and the next Anno or Settlers game by BlueByte.

uhhh, sure you could.  buy an xbox one.

And play online with who? Americans? I'd rather play with my friends.

Xbox is dead here mate, you've seen the sales numbers in continental Europe. Everyone I know is getting a PS4 when/if they go to next gen. Except these two guys at work.

The most important thing is to be able to play with my friends.

They will have PS4's.

Hence Xbox is not really an option.

We want to play Fifa, not Ass Creed.

Edit: I'm avoiding it because I can without being too bummed about what Im missing. Just how I didnt use Origin at all until the Humble Bundle.
