What I seen from Wind Waker HD so far, I am not impressed. Is it even a better game now? Hell shit gimmicks and unnecessary bloom does not do it any favors. I might had bought it if they had actually put any extra playable areas in the game, but not at this sad state and getting ripped off by Nintendo.

let's actually compare it with a Dolphin Emulator HD screen instead:

What a waste of effort by Nintendo.

Wind Waker is now a certified "Good" Zelda because it's not the most recent Zelda. But now that it is the most recent Zelda, everyone can go back to hating it again.

Well they reworked the hunt for the triforce at the end so this is a better wind waker.

But why so much bloom, it looks horrible.

It has a speed-up button for the boat. So yes, it's going to be the best version by default.

Anyways I don't think marketing it any other way would do the game's sales any favors.

My favorite part about this is how despite being on newer hardware, the HD version loses all sense of personality and aesthetic that made Wind Waker so visually pleasing, namely in the shadows. Maybe it looks better in video but I'm far from impressed with the current results.

Nintendo probably figures (correctly) that they can sell just as many copies of Celda HD at $50 as they could at $30. It's like the Sahara for Wii U owners and I think they would be desperate enough to pay near full price for a 10 year old game at this point.

I generally liked WW at the time. The triforce hunt was a tedious annoyance and it was kind of obvious that it was thrown out missing a dungeon or two but it's not like it totally sucked man or anything.

No, I don't think so. I know that they've said there aren't new dungeons.

There's also hero/hard mode available from the start. And faster/windless sailing is an item you get early on.

no new areas and dungeons. Still the same game with small islands and short dungeons.

The short dungeons thing is a good point though.

I tell you what, whenever they get around to giving TP the HD treatment it's going to be fucking glorious.

There's no way they can make that game look anything but improved by HD, and it's the best 3D Zelda already.
