Maybe MS should just save face and can it now while they still can.

Although they are on a great roll lately between windows 8, rt, zune and buying Nokia so they want to continue this streak it seems.

I'm happy to inform you that you can get Fifa 14 and/or Forza 5 for free with your Xbox One!

The X1 won't even be available in his home country, IIRC.

I'm disturbed by how the Kinect constantly stares at you without moving or blinking.

Only the day one edition, plus no one is getting the xbone so I wouldn't be able to play with my friends.

Still can't think of a reason why anyone would buy an XB1 this year for $100 more than the PS4. Next year when Titanfall and some other titles arrive? Sure. But I just don't see the logic in November/December. That's not to say  the PS4 has a better launch lineup - it seems to be forgettable too. But between the two it seems like the $400 console would automatically win.

I'm rebuilding my computer early next year though so I couldn't care less about both consoles :rejoice

There isn't a reason.  Microsoft is going to get cold cocked.

Most people aren't going to spend $400 now and $500 a year later for something that's 95% the same device.  If you know you want Titanfall (on a [next gen] console) and want something to play next gen games, might as well choose the Xbox One.

Personally I'm not getting an Xbox One until the cost of games I want is greater than the cost of the system, so about 7 more games or ~3 years, barring price drops.

PS4 is cheaper and I can hopefully play TitanFall on my PC.

I don't see myself getting a X1 anytime soon. Some of the nifty exclusives like Crimsion Dragon intrests me, but they don't push me over the edge. And honestly I need to see MS prove they aren't just going to rely on Halo and their other stock ips I don't care that much for.

the exclusives won't really matter, the GEEDEEDEEARRFIVE won't matter, the 10% CPU bump won't matter.

someone in redmond just needs to write "our product costs 20% more than our direct competitor" on a whiteboard and just slam their head in to it repeatedly until people take notice.

"hey hun, why are you buying the microsoft box when it's a hundred dollars more than the sony one. don't they both have the same games?"

"yeah well kinda, but it's got that camera thing the kids like"

"we've already got one of those, the kids never use it anymore anyway. get the cheaper one"

The WiiU will have company in the sales gutter.

You'd have to be a hardcore fanboy to buy the thing now, considering how similar both lineups are plus the (alleged) graphics difference. Considering parents will be driving holiday sales, I think the PS4 will dominate - and could honestly see the WiiU selling more.
