still haven't seen the first one. I saw each of the LOTR films at least 2 times in the theater (ROTK 4 times).

can't  get over the fact that a 400 page children's book has been turned into a three film trilogy. Utterly pathetic.

Michael Bay made a quadrilogy out of a action figure commercial, George Lucas made a sextilogy out of a an episode of Flash Gordon and a copy of Hero With a Thousand Faces, get over it.

I will say that I'm somewhat glad that I've heard the first film is kinda goofy and childish. I had thought Jackson would turn it into LOTR 2.0. That being said, the trailer for the sequel looks exactly like LOTR 2.0...
