Well my current and possibly foresable situation has me on the train everyday and in Coffoe shops and whatnot for a few hours every week. So I guess a portable would be a good time killer for this.

I'm never going to play on my phone and Vita's only appeal is playing ports of PS2 games. Not enough for the cost. So I guess the 3DS is my best option. But outside of SMT4 what's really good on the system? Not counting Nintendo games because I don't play them except maybe Pokemon, but I already know that one.

Also what's the best model?

But speaking of Virtual Console, what actually got me thinking about handhelds is while on the train I thought man "I sure would like to play FFVI now". Are there any SNES jrpgs on the 3DS VC like say FF6?

It's true that the Vita is getting a lot of localizations, but there are also quite a lot of JP only niche games out atm with a lot more on the way. I think the Vita is a great platform if you're part of the dedicated niche fanbase, and even better if you actually know Japanese.

I do not like AA4 at all, Beezy. I beat the other AA games in a matter of days. It took me weeks to beat AA4.

I liked apollo justice. Maybe not the character, but the game at least. It had a lot to live up to with AA3 though.

I don't think it even lives up with AA1. The entire circus storyline and stuff really didn't work for me. I also greatly dislike the bracelet and the ending.

Ace Attorney 1 is still the best. AA2 is the worst of the original trilogy...I think I still enjoyed Apollo Justice more than that.

I can agree with this after just having finished AA2 again (although I think the third is the best). Outside of the final case, AA2 was either underwhelming or just plain baffling in its logic.

my very slow progress in monster hunter as i trundle towards the 20 hour mark is still making my pants tingle.

Oh infect me - filthy virus of power!

Also though - MH4 has hard crashed on me -at least- 5 times, and i swear to god the town mission involving Gerious is bugged - it doesn't show up for 30 minutes every time i fight it.

Still... GOTF? as long as it doesn't cack it's pants in some god awful way - but i can't see it - the fights are glorious. GOTF
