Yes. It got a redesign in May to make it look like Pinterest.

Also, Google+ Hangouts is a pretty good, cross-platform text/pic/video chat client, with apps for iOS, Android, Chrome, and Gmail. Hangouts got phone calling from desktop in July, and the Android app is getting SMS and MMS support (like iMessage) in Android 4.4.
