If its attached to your account digitally it should just show up in your available games. Or if you have the disc just put it in, and it will download the game to your hard drive. There are only like 20 games available at the moment. The list is linked earlier in the thread.

Still way better than what Sony is doing for the PS4 though. Instead of popping in your copy of Deus Ex or Kane & Lynch, you'd need to pay $15 for each.

As I was typing this, I realized PS3 backwards compatibility isn't even on the table right now.

Yarp. Aiming for a 6TF+ device (So probably AMD Zen+Vega unless they are going back to Intel/Nvidia) and Oculus compatible leaked so far.

They seriously need some megaton games at this point though. Xbox has been solid but not spectacular since launch compared to PS4's gradual step up in title quality after 2 years and Wii U's outright nosedive in quality since 2014 and "More powah" is only going to satisfy console stans on youtube. Gimmie some fuckin' amazing games this E3 that had the same impact the original Gears did for the 360 and not just new hardware.

Yeah all that power is no good with games that make people go 'Wow' since this machine is looking like a late 2017 release

I'm hoping games like Scalebound will move over to the new machine and take advantage since that game is apparently late 2017. It's a no brainer. (but MS being MS may not see it that way) Also seeing as 2017 is a Halo year that would be good as a launch title. But MS really needs a knockdown new game or sequel to one of their newer IP's.

Being the least liked machine this gen has fucked up how receptive people are to their new IP's which have mostly been great but overlooked.

Halo 6 is a 2018 game. If they go Early 2017, the front tier game is probably going to be Scalebound. If it's late 2017, likely Forza 7 or something they money hatted.

6tf sounds ridiculous as thats Geforce 1070 territory and thats a 379 dollar card

Need to see receipts first, AMD already said their cards will be more mid tier so not up to that top end performance

Wouldnt mind going back to xbox if it will be beast mode again like the OG

Depends if it's Polaris or Vega. PS4 Neo is a polaris device for sure because it's meant to be just a bump of the PS4 specs without breaking compatablity. Xbox goes full next gen and goes a full prototype Zen/Vega chip or even a kaby lake (Maybe even Cannonlake if it's ready?)/pascal duo using HBM2 (Which would solve back compat problems with 360/Xbone games using the consoles static ram), I could see them pushing 6TF, Possibly further without having to eat costs or only take a small lump they can write off with software attach and an Xbox Live Gold subscription. 360 was produced eating costs but it was still making money due to software/online subscription and made it's money back by 2009 despite the RROD write down (If that didn't happen, it might have been as early as 2007). They could easily push it to mid-high tier gaming PC levels riding the current big move in PC Gaming.

It's an interesting situation. All we definitely know is that the Surface hardware team is making it and this was a controlled leak by far since the PS4 Neo reception was mixed at best and they would want to gauge their own audience and the gaming audience so far.

Still not sure if the Neo leak was controlled or some pissed off developers said "Nein" and sent the deets to Austin Walker.

The Neo details come of as a controlled leak, just look at the language used when talking about it when it first was leaked. It came off as if they were reading from scripts and told by someone that this is how we'd like to introduce the idea and concept of the Neo. Then you see how some outlets were very quick to "know" exactly what it could and couldn't do. Which granted was part of a technical document apparently, but it came off as if they were groomed in some way or form.

The leaks for MS on the other hand are coming from all over, from people in the know and those not in the know. I'm sure a fair bit of info is controlled leaks, but the stuff I know and the stuff that's come out is just people getting excited about some new hardware for once. Will it amount to anything going forward? I don't know I hope it does cause I haven't been happy with the Xbox one and as my preferred console of choice I'd like to get excited that MS might be able to turn it around for once.

I still think there is a chance that they are making a few miss steps with Xbox VR and UWP, but if their plan going forward is to innovate at a quicker pace to keep up with the market then it's completely logical to go that direction for them. Also just think about the potential homes they aren't in yet and how many more they could be with the other devices planned for release. If you would have told the Web TV guys that there would be millions of MS branded boxes connected to tv's they would have died.

Anyways the 2017 box currently runs at 5.6 (the max load shown during gameplay) and that was a current manufacture from april. It has a port for "Xbox VR" their label not mine, it's similar in size to the Kinect 2.0 port. The details on manufacturing and other stuff come from the test qr tag on the front of the unit. There was a lot more details about it but I'm not a game dev so I couldn't tell you what all of it meant. Device showed constant hardware statistics while playing an announced unreleased game. There's a few other details like ram allocation 24gb total 16 addressable by games/apps 8gbs reserved, Dashboard changes and stuff like that. This test was not NDA'd which screams to me that either someone fucked up or they want people to talk about this thing openly.

Thats pretty impressive if we can get that next year and still dont get the crazy drm they wanted for xbox one.

Dont see this device winning MS any wars anymore, that ship has sailed, but it could capture a piece of the hardcore crowd that spends a lot of money.

@takemybreh: the Polaris/Vega split could be true, dissapoonting if Sony goes down this road but understandable as they got this gen on lockdown. Seems well see Sony and MS taking the number one power spot from each other now every few years. If Neo is this year then PS5 will be 2019.
