I've been hooked on Final Fantasy Tactics Advance lately. Even broke out the old SP for ultra portable on the go action.

About 24 hours into this one, stupid lamepube keeps having issues with THIS GAME specifically

Stuck on Mission 4 after pulling my hair out at the rocket spamming Mission 3 boss.

Killing all the poor indians.

Uhh .. the way AP skirts the rules is that you give your credit card information to someone over the phone and they must have some sort of dummy business they charge it to and then transfer the funds to your account. Kind of shady, but it's only 50 bucks.

Ah I have MvC2 in the Dreamcast right now, I should fire that up tonight

Zelda TP I played for like 10 minutes before I went back to Wind Waker. I have never seen a more confusing starting town. I go to town after some dumb cutscene where the bum with a sword shoves work onto me or something. So the next day i get on my horse and herd goats, then after work they say oh go get the fishingpole from my house.

WHERE IS YOUR HOUSE. Fuck it I CANT FIND THE FISHINGPOLE so i go home and the next day is my DAY OFF so I wander out and that kids pissed cause I didnt get the fishing pole and im like fuck sorry and he's like go get it from my mom or some shit BUT HE DOESNT TELL ME WHERE SHE IS so I go into town and some guys like JESUS CHRIST MY CAT so I find the cat and I cant pick it up or herd it or anything (I found out from a friend I need fish) so then im looking for the house with my fishing pole and out of fucking nowhere im supposed to fucking CATCH A GOAT in a minigame of goat catching and of course I cant cause damnit im trying to catch a cat and find a fishing pole and everyone in town is telling me useless shit instead of WHERE TO FIND FISHING POLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah, it is kind of easy, so far I have beat world 1,2,3,4 and 5, and I have only missed like 4 or 5 gold coins. But what disappointed me was that the backgrounds are pretty boring, especially in the ghost houses, and the bosses for the most part have been pretty forgettable. And Bowser Jr. is just lame, they should have just used BoomBoom.

Republic Commando wasn't much at all like Metroid Prime, except for the view being behind a visor and sometimes stuff splatters on it. Oh wait, it does have a visor mode for looking in the dark, but that was used about three times. I don't know if it is BC, I don't own any of the next gen consoles. :'(

I played maybe 1.5 levels into gears of war and it just didnt grab me like Rainbow Six did. Everything in it is just so OMG CHAINSAW GUN DROOOLING SIX EYE MONSTAR FROM MY METAL DREAMZ and GENERIC MARINE TALK FROM PRISON BLAH BLAH. The game is certainly challenging enough, but I dont really feel compelled to meet that challenge.

Dont even get me started on the futility of a casual player hopping online to have a match with the highschool/college kids who spent all winter break perfecting their delivery of 'lol dumbmotherfucker' every time they kill someone.

It looks really good, granted, but it was put up in a position to be THE game, and a lot of people bought into that. The gameplay is pretty simplisitc and boring, but yes, still challenging.

I knew the game was going to suck when I saw the first video of that orbital 'cannon' that didnt event do environmental destruction. wtf.

Anyway yes, most of the time I have fun in GOW is OA matches, because I know everyone by name and although there is shit talk, I expect it from them. However I can appreciate playing with randoms as well, not everyone on xbl is a total dickhead, I have met some really cool people.

I think my problem is that my Xbox Live experience is solely based on Halo 2, which is really not that great.

I haven't played any PC games online lately because my laptop is a piece of shit, but I used to enjoy playing DoD a shitload years ago and CS:S more recently. But in both cases I pretty much stuck to the same server and I got to know the people. I remember when CS:S first came out, I was utterly addicted and I played on basically one server. I then stopped for a few months and when I started playing again, the server was gone. It really affected how much I enjoyed playing.

I'm addicted to Need for Speed Carbon. Most of the single-player achievements on the X360 version are pretty easy to get if you unlock the upgrades and a high-end car or two through the microrapements.

I also have Gears of War. I suck at this game- I can't use cover effectively- but I will finish the single-player at Hardcore, by God, so I can get those achievements. I'm such an achievement whore.

I'm also dabbling in Soul Calibur II, now that the Xbox version is playable on the X360. It'll fill my fighting fix until Virtua Fighter 5 comes out in the summer.
