BTW, this vanilla-app (pun-intended) is not available on iPad; you have to use the iPhone specific store to purchase it if you're on an iPad.

The iPad versions are Math, Nat'l Geo, and TWILIGHT.

I thought the math one would be conceptual questions or permutations or something but it's a lot of arithmetic. I'm pretty sure a lot of players are using a calculator.

Okay yeah, but when I see someone answer (7 X 88) +11 in five seconds, I'm probably dealing with a cheater.

Granted the other national geographic one us peasants get has a lot of repeat questions so it's just memorization but remembering stupid facts is funner than arithmetic.

When I see those, I do "(7 x

+ (7 x 80) + 11" which becomes "56 + 560 + 11" at which point my brain panics a bit trying to offset the decimal place while adding 56+560, and I lose a few seconds. $:-\$

It's also multiple choice answers, so sometimes they're obvious when there's only one answer close to where I was heading.

I heard this will be out for android in time for the next ipad to come out. So sometime in june next year. The app looks like a lot of fun though thats for sure.

a lot of those questions, you can just go by the last digit (7)

Still play this pretty often. More than anything I think I'm just addicted to building my win to loss ratio. Almost to 2.5-1, would be way higher if I didn't let me ex-GF play the app on my phone and fuck my stats up.

In 30 minutes I became one of the top 10 best players in both Arizona and California in the flags category. At last recognition for my horrible, burdensome talent.

When I get matched against some scrub I bet they get hella intimidated by my skull avatar and TOP TEN IN ARIZONA - AUGUST 2014 banner. They know no quarter will be given.

Shit brehs, they put me at the international big kids table now. I had to beat someone who was level 35 in flags.

I beat some other big kid by knowing about the Red Cross' red lozenge flag. Every match comes down to the wire now and the minutiae upon minutiae.

One of the questions in flags was "Which of these flags does not have a star on it?"

3 of the choices had stars on them, the other choice was FYR Macedonia, which I hope you don't know has the sun on its flag.

So all 4 choices had a star on them.

Played about a half hour of this earlier this morning. Have you guys noticed questions repeating already? Got up to level 6 in the hip-hop category and I've come across the Vanilla Ice real name question multiple times already.

Those were the only set of questions I was able to consistently win in so I went back to it a lot more than the others I tried. I wonder if other more popular categories are more fleshed out.

Vanilla Ice probably uses QuizUp as a paid promotion to try and drum up interest in a comeback.

lol. I honestly quit playing the logo questions because I got suspicious that the companies might be using the game to self-promote. Either way the game is helping to raise brand awareness and I felt kind of gross being rewarded for that.
