Well, even with games like SMT where the game traditionally takes place in post apocalyptic demon infested Tokyo, they manage to switch it up. Hey, let's make this one in Antarctica. Or hey, let's make it so that it has Tokyo, but you don't get to Tokyo for like 10 in-game hours to make its introduction have more impact. Let's make a spin off franchise about demons fighting their way into a normal Earth as we know it - Persona - or let's make one where it's in a cyberpunk setting - Soul Hackers? Don't get me wrong; I love Fallout - that's why I care so much. But I fail to see what would be enticing to have another wasteland, handled in the same manner, for the third time five-six years. I'm coming from this as a fan of the series and nothing more. Then again, I've always been the type who gets bored when developers keep doing the same things and that's usually when I abandon them. I said nothing of innovation. However, I do embrace creativity.
That said, out of my love for Bethesda - the only wrpg studio I really even like aside from CPR - and Fallout, I'll be getting Fallout 4. So I'm definitely a part of the problem.
I hope to fuck this isn't being made by Obzzzidian.
