Decided I won't get Zelda until I beat Pokemans, and I won't get Mario until I beat Wind Waker.

Pretty close to beating both of them, but still. Might be a week or two.

I am hopeful that getting all the items at once means the puzzles and bosses are much more interesting? I feel like the item progression is a big loss and I don't trust Nintendo to make up for it.

In the hour I played, I was shocked at how fast the game felt.  Not like, speedy in terms of progression, but its just a slick, fast-running game.  Very cool, can't wait to play more after work.

Can't trust Wrath cause he's a Zelda special fellow and can't trust BrandNew cause he's a general Nthing. I need like, Drinky or Creepy Old Guy to play the game and tell me if it's actually good.

Yeah, that mirrors how I feel about the games more or less.  Zelda64/Majora, haven't played in 15 years so no real opinions on them other than liked them at the time.  Have the 3DS Zelda 64 but not sure if I want to replay it and maybe discover the game isn't that good.

Looking forward to your thoughts on this new one.

I replayed OoT 3D and it is just as good as I remembered it. MM I haven't played since it came out but I liked it a lot. I remember being disappointed at the small number of dungeons.

i honestly don't understand what people see in zelda game, the combat is easy and the puzzles are so paint-by-the-number that is sort of hard to call them puzzle in the first place,i enjoy them and have finished several but i would never buy a 3DS for one, also i absolutely hate that overworld theme they keep putting in every zelda game :yuck

and i want to make this clear,i'm not trying to get on anybody nerve or anything... that is a good honest serious question

oh by the way my favourite would be LA simply because ol gb nintendo games are :heart

I have come across puzzles in random hidden caves that are more interesting than many recent late-game Zelda puzzles.

And no these caves do not always have cracks :o

You've lived in Japan.

You understand this logic.

It's like when you log into an unsecured wi-fi network here, and the welcome page is a set of instructions about how to force your phone to log off and forget the network.

Japan.

Cutscenes are few and far between.  Dialogue is cutesy ala Minish Cap, probably a bit briefer.  Handholding is pretty much nonexistent after the first ten minutes.

Game definitely looks damn good.  Wish more 3DS (any 3DS) games would focus on 60fps because it looks fantastic on the machine.  If Pokemon had looked like this I'd like it more!

Holy shit this game is 60 fps? Interest rising.

Yeah, even with 3d on.  Which is a first for the machine I think.  The top down view allows minimal objects rendered at once.  Was a smart decision.

Beat the Wind Palace or whatever, and this game is good as fuck. Only negative I have so far is that the game mostly rewards you with rupees for doing all the little side puzzles, but I don't need any more rupees. I've got nearly 2k rupees, the most expensive thing I had to buy was 200.

Yeah money seems wildly out of sync.  My only guess is that they wanted to provide a cushion for people who die a lot in the game and need to re-rent equipment.  I walked out of the first dungeon with nearly 1k rupees

I think this may be my GOTY.
Game looks slick in motion and with full 3D on.  It's one of the few (maybe the only) 3DS games that I leave the 3D on all the way up the whole time I'm playing.

They're 1200 rupees if you want to own them, i.e. not have to re-rent them after you die.

yeah, the save spots are generous and I got bottles really early for fairies.  I've never run into a situation where I lost my items and couldn't just reload the save rather than continue and lose the items.
