The leaked email plus the lack of weekly deals and midweek deals seem to point to tomorrow.

Is the Thanksgiving deal usually as good or better than the Xmas sale?

Yeah, most stuff is generally around the same range in every sale, though you do have the games that drop in price so even if they're 75% again that's now $2.50 instead of $5.

I remember the thanksgiving sales in the past having more emphasis on "big name" titles each day than the longer winter and summer sales. But that's when it was only like two days.

It contains the 3 story dlcs so yea  :P. Seriously though yes it does Unlike amazon who had a all-dlc collection but somehow forgot the final dlc (year of the snake).

Yeah, but unfortunately that includes the cheat dlcs. If you get it, there's a pinned thread on the game's steam forum page on how to disable them which I would recommend doing.

Same, I'm holding out for a hero for a -75% flash or daily.

Want to get it and the price it's at is good, but I want sub-$10 if I can.

So apparently SRIV will have 2 DLC mission packs (mini-expansions) total this time around.  One is the Enter the Dominatrix which is already out and $2.99 today.  The other is Saints Save Xmas which I guess will be out by Xmas?  And Season Pass is $3.99 today which includes both.  Grabbing that.

Those Bundle Stars bundles that are full of like one or two solid games plus every piece of junk on Steam you've never heard of are also doing a sale this weekend: http://www.bundlestars.com/all-bundles/

Can pick up all sorts of junk for like $2-3.

And Papo & Yo for $1: https://indiegamestand.com/

Not really, other than a little bit of the one that came out on the DS [which wasn't really that great]. I got Ayesha ordered, though, and apparently the best of the series is probably Totori.

But if you want a fun JRPG that won't get you put onto an NSA list, I'm really enjoying Ni No Kuni right now. It's a bit on the easy side and it's fairly simplistic in most respects, but gosh darn if it isn't just really charming. Some nice 2D animated cutscenes from Studio Ghibli scattered around, too.

Far Cry 3 a year later, worth it?

I played and enjoyed Blood Dragon.  I saw some people saying it's everything good about Far Cry 3 distilled into a ~6 hour package.

That's pretty accurate. The gameplay is mostly the same as in Blood Dragon, although Blood Dragon is a bit streamlined comparatively. Unless you just really want to play basically the same game again but with realistic visuals and a super-serious story than wants to be satire, then you can safely pass up FC3 and just play Blood Dragon again.

Nah, Far Cry 3 is > Blood Dragon. I personally don't overly care for the 80s retro jizz of BD because i'm not a 30-40 year old, so I think the original is better. shows off the engine a lot better, campy/funny story, fun skill tree.

I've been watching the dailys and flash sales waiting for Valdis Story and now I find myself here on Monday with still no appearance and the time I had to play it gone (thanksgiving break) :'(

For the holiday sale I think I'll just buy what I want on Day 1 and enjoy the games on my time off and never look at the steam front page again

Want Stanely and Shadow Warrior just like I wanted Deadpool last night

But 40% ...will get a better percentage next sale and SW/Deadpool will get MSRP drops so 75% is <$10 in another sale.  $8-10 still gives me pause.  $6 or under is immediate buy for anything I'm slightly interested in.

I probably bought too much (especially cheap DLC crap), but I think I actually got a lot of stuff that'll get decent play time out of me in the near weeks to come or that I've had my eye on and were waiting for dropping under a price threshold for a while. So it's been a good sale for me after the last few have been a bit lower in quality, though I guess I am somewhat comparing it to all the bundles I've been picking up in recent months where I get like 10 games but only really want like two.  :lol

I think the only thing I bought that was less than 66% off was Cook, Serve, Delicious! And other than Antichamber I think everything else was at least 75% off. Only spent like thirty or thirty five bux.

So yay gerry
:heartbeat  :gaben :heartbeat
