Terraria pulled me in hard, but I really hated how quickly I reached the limits of exploration. Going to let this cook for a while longer before jumping in.

Anyone manage to get guns yet? I've been roaming around and found a few places with enemies toting guns... but they never drop them.

No luck on that front. If you do some googling though people have posted coordinates with gun dealers.

FYI, the next update is going to entirely rework the weapon damage and armor systems, and will likely require character resets. Don't get too attached to anything you've got right now.

I found a weapon dealer and bout some guns and they end up being shitty and can't damage the fucking space ship and now I have to mine materials again to make the fucking beacon!

If you haven't already, build the leather armor you can make at the weaving thing or whatever it's called. They made a typo and it's actually way better than it was meant to be. It's super easy to craft and will make you way OP (until they nerf it next patch).
