DD's tracks are featureless handjobs to fans of the spartan Mario aesthetic -- even ones that should be cool, like the ship and the freeway stages, are simplistic and lacking in real obstacles or environmental details.

There hasn't been a kart racer that even approximates CTR, although the GBA Mario Kart ain't bad -- it spruces up what made the original a classic. Mario Kart DS is tolerable but ugly; it's like a lightweight and uninspired take on CTR.

I only bought it because I was swindled to thinking that if I pre-ordered I would get the bonus disc. Then I found out the bonus disc is included in EVERY SINGLE COPY

CTR sucks. CTR is the master of bland tracks and bland characters. I rented that game with somebody who loves MK and loves Crash and they tried it once and never touched it again.

Awespme DD tracks off the top of my head:

Yoshi
The Dino Valley one
DK's level with the cannon
Baby Park (awesome for time attack and insane amount of items flying around)

Although the course design was a little bland in mariokart double dash, there were very few cases of extreme .... I cant think of the word so Ill just say "uninspiredness" (fucking hated peach beach and mariocircuit though). I thought the mechanics and items in the game were worth it, lots of fun to be had. First mariokart game where I was actually employing some strategy with my items.

And naruto is fucking typical dbz wannabe successor shonen knockoff crap in the vein of yu yu or bleach. One piece is the only girl for me.

Double Dash fucking rapes the ever loving shit out of Mario Kart 64. Never before in the history of video games has one title held such massive disappointment.

DD is not that bad. It's fun. It's atmospheric. It's no SMK. Or Super Circuit. But thankfully, it is no MK64 either.

The track design is indeed bland as fuck. Though I just can't help but sadistically enjoy punching people of Rainbow Road.

Bob omb battle in Pipe Plaza is fun and addicting as hell, but man there needs to be more levels.

Yes, I know you're not talking about the feather... I was taking a dig at MK64 for causing the ruination of the series. And that's just one small thing in a laundry list!

The hop is virtually worthless. In Super Circuit you could use it to jump over the small on-track obstacles. When there isn't anything like that, it's not needed.
