The HD texture pack.  :whew

Been getting ganged up on too. I learned the hard way, but it's better to run than die.

All right, after putting around 10 hours in, I think I'm gonna lower my BoreScore™ (I seriously can't believe no one else has come up with this yet) a bit to 7.5.  I've gotten killed about three times due to getting caught on scenery, camera going buck wild and not being able to see, and bad controls (no, I don't want to endlessly roll against this wall, I'd like to climb it and get away from this fucker that just poisoned me).  In a game where the combat can get exceedingly tough, these kinds of gameplay flaws just don't need to be there at all.

I enjoyed The Saboteur, similarly: Not a great comparison in GTA IV to driving and shooting, not a great free-running and climbing game compared to Assassins Creed, but plenty of fun which wasn’t present in the then-current iterations of those games.

I've been doing side missions for like 7 hours and only just unocked the ability to ID warchiefs.

Should I start killing them right away, or should I save them for later in the story?

Absolutely no reason to keep them around and eventually you'll have to kill them to progress the story. After that point they get replaced as soon as you kill them.

Oh man that final boss is giga trash. Like, Rage levels of bad.

Branding uruks to form my own army was super dope, though. I hope it gets expanded through mods or dlc.

Finished the main storyline today, just when I'd had my fill of playing. Had a great time, didn't even try to understand any of that Middle Earth Lore bullshit. Points taken off for infuriating camera/control issues. 7.9

I think you should bump it up a notch. The game did not freak out, delete your save, destroy your console, and shit on your bed when you pressed start.

Yeah, but when you die because of stuff like controls/camera in this game the enemy who did you in gets harder to kill. 7.9 is real talk score.

I'm in the second area now and it's way more rare to find any intel. Is there any way to find out strengths and weaknesses other than waiting for the game to randomly insert a green dude or some documents?

I dont get the ending. Talion is evil now?

Also lol @ qte final fight. The entire "Tower" and "Black Hand" fights were crap.

Got 1000, sending it back tomorrow.

The entire "Nemesis" system was pretty shit. Rarely used it aside from achievements and story. Annoying as FUCK to have the combat interrupted for each captain's monologue. Fuck off.

sounds like in the end the Nemesis stuff doesnt come together in a satisfying way, but in the practice of playing through the game it's fun, and i'm glad it's in there. take that system away and the game loses a lot of what separates it from other open world stuff like AC or FC3

finished last night, i think because i knew the ending wasnt gonna be anything great, i had lowered expectations for it, and therefore, didn't mind it so much.  when it comes time to wrap up a game i prefer short and sweet.  this actually had a lot of nice cutscenes at the finale.  id say 8.5/10 is the right score.

wow even zero punctuation cant hate too hard, also, fuckin A about wanting Condemned 2 on Steam..
