The Quad and Flamingo are pretty bro'd out but very cheap and on the Strip. Bally's is right there too and usually a reasonable price.

I dunno if the Hooters hotel (lol) is still around but I stayed there once and it wasn't terrible.

I'll need bebps' blessing but I'm ready to call the poll and say August 26-28 is the official date for Bore-con 2016.

I'm planning on flying in Thursday the 25th and leaving Tuesday the 30th. The non-Borecon days will be mostly spent chilling at the pool or in my room to recover.

Below are the package deals I've found for myself, based on the suggestions by nachobro ("The Quad" is now "The LINQ").

I'm going to book my flight/hotel on July 1 so if anyone has any opinions on the specific hotel it'd be great if you spoke up.

Right now, I'm leaning towards Bally's since it's the cheapest and the closest to the airport.

The Nugget's been my primary choice for a couple months, until Bally's was recommended.

Also that Bally's and Flamingo are ghetto, so Linq might be the way to go.

You can get to the strip for like a $7 taxi ride so depending on the cost differences keep that in mind. You could also be a tourist and grab a shuttle probably but I think fanny packs are required for those.

Since this is The Bore, really The Palms should be the hotel as it's the closest "major" hotel to a Taco Bell. (There isn't a Taco Bell on the strip.)

The only stupid things I've been known to do when drunk are:

1) Refuse cab/uber rides back to my place out of a misplaced sense of indignity and my "great directional skills" (read: terrible)

and

2) Shit talk way more than usual out of the corner of my mouth ("What did you say?" "Nothing...")
