Good episode. Random question - is it worth going with The Pit Gold Edition or is the base game fine? I want to give it a shot given all the praise and the base game is $2 on steam vs $10 for the game + DLC

DLC adds some cool stuff but the base game is still great. If you're unsure then just get the base game, but if you play a lot of rogue likes then I'd get the gold version.

edit: Gold Edition is $5 here, sounds like it redeems on Steam.
