Virgins (Tim Hecker) really stood out to me. Haven't listened to a whole lot in the past few months, however.

Argh I dunno- truth be told 2012 had more that I liked.

I did enjoy REDEMPTION as friends suddenly liked Tegan and Sara and I was TOO GROWN UP TO RUB IT IN. But yeah- favorite album I discovered this year came out last year. Wtf. MUSIC 2013- kinda good?

It always feels to me like every year I'm disappointed in everything that came out but then in six months or a year I'll re-visit and love what came out the year prior. And too often I'll later adopt the newest album from whoever as my new favorite.

So I basically I suffer from the Zelda Cycle with music?

Didn't realize The Knife came out until this thread.

I have to admit I actually came to like Panic at the Disco's new one quite a bit. ("Miss Jackson" probably being my least favorite song on it, in part because there's already one "Ms. Jackson" for me.) I didn't realize they had changed so much sound wise.
