Like now I have to deal with co workers believing this is real. I mean its not even a decent photoshop.

I told them this is fake but they don't believe me. They say giant squids are real.

I told them they are, but this is fake fake fake. Their idea of veryfing this story is to google it and they saw this reposted on other shit sites, so it must be real. FUCKING HELL.

I see obvious hoaxes pop up all the time on my Facebook feed. Stuff than even a cursory search on Google would easily disprove, even if it was totally obvious from the how cheap the site looked, how overblown and dramatic the article sounded, and the lack of any supportive evidence. I just don't understand it.

Maybe some people also just aren't that used to photoshops, especially compared to forumites like us.

Giant squids of some form probably do exist. The deep sea still hasn't been investigated fully, just imagine some of the things that have evolved down there.

Using a remotely operated vehicle named Little Hercules, scientists working aboard the NOAA ship Okeanos Explorer captured this footage of the squid species Pholidoteuthis adami mating in the northern Gulf of Mexico. The squid don’t appear to be laughing though.

The male is upside down, and backwards on top of the female and the terminal organ is extending from his funnel, presumably releasing spermatophores, from which spermatangia burrow into the dorsal mantle tissue of the female.

They do exist, the largest specimen ever found is on display here in the National Museum of New Zealand. It is referred to as a colossal squid. Google it!
