The ridiculous over the topness of that game put me off. It is really really really fruity. Nice battle system, but everything else turned me off.

Where are you in the game? It is over the top, and extremely fruity in some cases. I swear, one of the first bosses you fight is fucking floating pair of balls. And then there's that super hero taco, and those two gay guys who I want to murder.

I preferred SH1's approach because it was darker, had horror elements, and didn't make think I was playing some crappy animu comedy reject.

the over-the-top humor and crazy gags are what makes the game. too many console rpgs are unpleasantly earnest in their fruity animu convention.

Hey now. It's one thing for a game to try it's hand at comedy, but another to make it so horrendously bad and make it too embarassing to play.

I've wanted to give the game another shot, but then I remember that one part where that cigarillo super hero with the bat mask appears and I start to remember why I hated it in the first place.

Jesus Christ this game is so goddamn fruity.

Drinky, I often don't mind over the top but I guess SHC didn't sit well with me or it wasn't my taste. Now God Hand over the top, that shit is so awesome. If they didn't try to justify the setting by placing it in the 1910's or something, I probably would have enjoyed it. But instead I get a fruity animu alter reality with cross dressing homos.

shenmue is all about the homos, and it wasn't backed by any decent gameplay mechanics. you make no sense!

Haven't played this, but I enjoyed FF10 so I would have to give that some thought even if I was playing it.

Although I don't doubt for a second that this game is better than FFXII.

Play SHC, its awesome, the combat system is great and the story has been awesome, voice acting is solid, visuals are nice. Cant stop playing!

From what I played it pretty ho hum and average, and I think I played half the game. The characters didn't sit well with me, in fact I hated all of them except the German chick with big boobs. The villians were gay, the gameplay overall was pretty average with one screen towns, and boring loacles and side quests. And the story was lol. The battle system rocks, but it wasn't enough to make me continue playing the game.

I tried SH3's demo and got the same vibe. The character designs are horrible, the game has this modern look despite the fact it's in the damn 1920's, the fegs who always hit on you are back and even gayer than ever, and the game still tries to shell out horrible jokes.

Bring back SH1's awesomeness and we'll have a deal. Covenant and 3 are blech.

The third game is kinda shitty. It's got the good gameplay, but characters, a setting, a story, and a soundtrack so bad that it's not worth dealing with.
