I promised FatalT on FB i'd keep this thread alive...

This song right here... blew my mind when I heard it... may very well be the most influential song in my life since it's what got me interested in what I later learned was called "house". (and funny how 15+ years later house producers are still ripping on that bassline *cough*mayajanecoles*cough*

And then I heard this song which solidified my favorite music genre since '98:

Remember perusing the UK top 100 charts one day, and saw this song. Was one of the first songs I downloaded. By this guy Ferry Corsten whose name kept popping up all over the place at the time (seemed like every other song I was into back then was by an alias of this guy! I later got the chance to meet him a few times and he's a really awesome person) and by some other guy named DJ Tiesto who I never heard of before the song:
