Ignorance? They aren't ignorant. They know the effects of Mary Jane and the science behind it. They are protecting their jobs. It is a political, business, and economical issue. If MJ is legalized, that will render half of the point of the DEA useless. So of course they don't want MJ legal. But don't worry. MJ will be set free eventually, because if history has shown us anything, it's that nothing can stop from the right thing happening. It's their fault for working in corrupt professions to begin with. I suggest not doing it with bread. Do it with crackers, preferably graham crackers like in the link I posted.

That's my thought on it too. Sometimes I'm just lazy.

Though there's nothing better than making a big eggs and bacon breakfast with some weed pancakes on the side. So the butter is worth the effort sometimes...and I just make enough that it'll last for a while.

They are awesome! That's why I like the butter, you can use it to cook pretty much anything. Depending on what it is you often won't get much, if any, weed taste at all.

EDIT: You can buy it in medical shops here but it's so overpriced for what amounts to putting weed and butter in a double boiler and stirring it for 40 mins.

For the reason you just mention earlier in the post, he doesn't need to do that. It's going to become legal at the state level through a matter of course as the way people's thinking changes naturally. Obama using an executive order to nix marijuana's illegality might work in the short-term, but he'd probably get a ton of blow back in the long-term and make the issue become another front in the Republican v. Obama war. Right now, the issue has nothing to do with Obama and it's probably better for all the supporters in the long-run that it stays that way.

Even if it will be legal at a state level, I'm just waiting for Obama to stick to his guns on issues instead of doing that thing he does where he says shit and then does the exact opposite. (Ie. Saying marijuana is no less harmful than alcohol while putting a gungho prohibitionist as the head of the DEA and having the highest number of dispensiary raids than any other president.
