Hardcore tactical mil sim shooter. Very niche but has a hardcore following. Came out last week. I have it and I stink at it but its fun in a brutally punishing kind of way. Reminds me of counter-strike meshed with COD.

I enjoyed the first one for Half-Life but I don't have the time or finances to get into the sequel yet.

used to really enjoy the mod when it had a pretty small but stable community. surprised to see the full price version doing so well - did it gain traction from a kickstarter or something?

They tried kickstarter and it failed. I think the game has been given some life and exposure because some of the big youtubers and twitch streamers have been playing it.
