Looks about as expected.  Game is also like 8 hours long (apparently 10 hours = 100% completion), which is why they've been showing the same areas over and over again, just to get that out of the way.  Map is probably a lot smaller than Infamous 1/2.  For reference Infamous 1 was ~15 hours story, 2 (which was the better game) was 12 hours, and Festival of Blood was 2.5 hours.

For year 1 games I always expect short graphical showcases on new engines that are setups for the sequel with proper development time since they aren't being rushed out to fill year 1 gaps.  If it's a fun, good looking Infamous title in the style of Infamous 2 & Festival of Blood, I'll be quite happy with it.

I think it looks great for what it is.  The last two were homely for the ps3 and this a big step up if this is homely for the ps4.  But it's still just a great looking 360/ps3 game running on PC (at 30fps).

Will Minecraft, Facebook or Windows Office run better if I do so?

Otherwise not interested.

They might. Also, games that look better than what's in the OP would run better as well!

The power of the ps4 doesn't sound as good as "THE POWER OF THE CELL" immo lets keep that one

infamous looks like ass. funny to see sony fanboys jizzing over that shit. It looks like they spent most of the game's budget on the MC's model and particle effects and then just outsourced the rest

Besides the low(-ish) resolution textures in the foreground I think the image in the OP looks great. Especially if you compare it to the PS3 Infamous games or other generation 8  open world games, like Dead Rising 3. Geometry isn't that complex but at least the image quality is high and they've managed to make Seattle look wet.

if that's a shot from Infamous, it might be worth it to consider that the game boasts destructible environments. If you can level the buildings in that picture, it probably makes sense for them to look like that.

There's no doubt that there are last-gen open world games that look just as good or better than that screenshot, though. Sleeping Dogs is the first title that comes to mind, especially as a game that nails the whole "wet pavement" look.

The extra $100 was for snapping apps.

Paying an extra $100 for a feature at risk of being removed to squeeze a few more fps from that budget GPU :gloomy

No, of course not. I don't even get why people insist on posting bullshots. It would be much easier to do comparisons with non-compressed direct feed footage.
