Loadout (Free to Play)

Lot of people seem to be liking it. Has some of the feel of an arena shooter. Has a create a weapon feature. And supposedly a good free to play model that is mostly based around cosmetic items.

It's only cosmetics and I believe loadout slots, so you can bank more weapon configs. I think. Definitely a fuck-ton of cosmetics though. You can unlock all weapon upgrades and I don't see a way to speed that up with real dollars, so if those take too long it's not because they want to funnel you to a booster.

I played it for a couple of hours. Seems fun, but I don't like the maps at all. Nice style though.

It looks like a really fun shooter, but I just don't have the time to play stuff like this anymore :(

I really like it. It's really fun. I'm not sure if that comes off so well in the videos but it has a slightly old school feel without being a slavish nod to those old school games. The graphics are nice. It runs really smoothly. Solid effort.

Hopefully the matchmaking does a good job of placing you with relatively equally skilled people and equipment.

I saw this yesterday and waffled about downloading it. I really should get a better PC if I'm going to spend any time PC gaming.

Game seems to run pretty well on older machines. I'm really enjoying it.

The game runs swell on my laggardly PC. Smooth, and kind of fun. Neat visuals. But in the two rounds I played yesterday, the executable froze/crashed halfway through the first match, the second one just after the match ended, so in neither case did I gain money or experience, the game's two currencies.

Yeah the game was having issues yesterday.

Still borked today. I want to like this game, but I'm going to wait until I see another patch applied before I waste more time on it.

Went in to four matchmaking lobbies, timed out on three loading screens, got into one actual game. Decided not to press my luck by straying from the lobby, so was able to play through three rounds. It has been SO LONG since I played kb/m that I'm a complete spaz. I may try a wired controller, but I think I just need to practice with kb/m.

There are some really good players; also using my 79 ping to connect to NA servers is not helping me any. The Asia region appears better, at 49.
