So they are getting totally ignored in hardware sales in Japan - racing closer to 6k a week and what is their solution?

Bundle Wii U Sports in and up the price of entry to 30k yen

I swear, this company...... it's pretty clear that it's not of case of they will not drop the price... they simply CANNOT drop the price. The gamepad is a millstone around this turd of a machines neck and they are totally and utterly fucked.

Also - i am going to say it - X ... looked like a shit PSO and the characters need to SHUT THE FUCK UP.
Bayonetta 2 looks as expected, Mario kart -better- than expected

new ace attorney directed by the original guy coming for 3ds.  thank god cuz the non-Takumi AA games aren't very good.

Yeah, but Capcom/Retail release?

In Japan?  Yes.

*sigh* Back to waiting to pirate it then, I guess. That or Nintendo finally solves their DRM scheme. Either/or.

X looks good.  I played enough of Xenoblade to know it wasn't for me, too much of a single player mmorpg, but a lot of other people were into it and X looks exactly like Xenoblade.

and I'm hesitantly excited for smash bros wii u if online works this time and is feature complete.  otherwise it looks like a serviceable if not dull sequel.  it really seems rushed.

don't know if they said one way or another.  the names are: tester, player 1, player 2.  it could be placeholder like the title.  game isn't coming for at least another year.

Did they announce anything new for WiiU or just show off the same stuff they've been promising for a while now?

I had never heard of bayonetta before and these kinds of games doesn't appeal to me but I will buy it to show support and tell Nintendo that they should invest more in these kinds of stuff. All wiiu owners should buy this without excuses

That Nintendo fan dedication. Too bad it's not gonna translate to real sales.

Replace Bayonetta with Monster Hunter. And Resident Evil before that.

Gotta love blissful ignorance of the outside world.

I actually got excited when I read about a pokemon PAD game, but that looked less than inspiring.

That game they showed before it 'Rusty's Baseball' (or something like that) looked terribad. You see a dozen of those games released every Spring on mobile.

Nintendo fans are happy: http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=768749

From my vantage, this looked like a Shovelware Direct featuring games we've known about for over a year.

They didn't show much of anything, no new WiiU games either. I don't get it. They don't seem to value E3 but I'd imagine they'll have announcements around that time, but they need to show something NOW. Right now their upcoming games list might as well be a GameCube upcoming games list from a decade ago.

Well sure, they'd need to show stuff NOW if their strategy was to actually succeed.

I think we should give them some time to see how their apparent "suck and die slowly strategy" works out for them... who knows, it just might succeed!
