Am i mistaken for saying this such-a-way...
But if homosexual sex is illegal in some states, it makes you a criminal in all countries.
An example i would state is this: Medical marijuana, is legal in some states on a state level, and illegal in others on a state-level... However, across all states inside of the United States medical marijuana is illegal federally... Meaning that the legality of the medical version of the drug is an illusion, because the federal government proclaims it's illegal on State-wide-level, federally... Thus, medical marijuana isn't actually legal.
So if you feel as leniant about the definition as i Do, you can say it like this:
IF ellen page is married homosexually, in one state but her marriage is illegal in another state, it means she is NOT ACCEPTED by the state where gay marriage is illegal, and if she visits that state both her and her spouse are rejected by them in a metaphorical way.
So here's my next point:

What's the point of her discussing her homosexuality until she announces publically whether or not she plans to become homosexually married? My reason for saying this is that i find it immature that this little girl is talking about her homosexual choices, but only on a smaller relationship level... Wow, do you mean to say she has a GIRLFRIEND... How uninteresting, why not save this type of public debauchery for the time of her marriage...
That is unless she is simply hoping from girlfriend-to-girlfriend, too immature for a serious relationship involving state-level marriage. Her public relation skills bore me the way she looks for attention as a homosexual, in a relationship that makes high-school dating seem mature.
When she's ready to disclose her homosexual marriage partner to the presses, this story might become interesting again.
This is how powerfully i feel like discussing this story.
