Depends:  Games before Summer.

Do you like Digital Pinball?  PS4 version of Pinball Arcade has a new lighting model which looks gorgeous (needs a sound patch though as it's using iOS sound on accident and will be patched with first patch); I've spent a good chunk of my time on PS4 with S1 of this.

ACIV, best version if you don't have a crazy powerful PC and a good open world sailing game w/flaws.  Nice story about the golden age of Pirates and the first likeable lead since Ezio.

Resogun, pretty sweet.  Like it better than Super Stardust.

MGSV Ground Zeroes - MGSV Ground Zeroes, but best looking/running version.  Same will be true for MGSV Phantom Pain most likely next year.

Infamous SS - Do you like Infamous?  More Infamous but better looking and hopefully even better playing, but shorter.

Yakuza Isshin - Dunno if this will come over, but if you're willing to import this will be the cleanest looking and best running version.

Dynasty Warriors 8XL - Will be the best version of this. 

The Witness/some other indie stuff - Most of these are on steam so I normally wouldn't care since I'd grab them on PC, but with PS+ I keep getting free ones so that's cool.  Already Don't Starve & Outlast were free, guessing Octodad might be soon.

Driveclub - Makers of Motorstorm with some PGR and Wipeout staff, PGR/NFS-styled real car arcade racing.  Looks nice but with all these delays who knows how it'll turn out.

I dont see the big deal with this game.  Looks like a glorified iphone game.  Its a maze game with an adventure ui added to it seems.

Whoops, sorry I left that out!  Yeah, looking forward to it, looks fun!  I have no idea what games are coming to PS4 after like April.  Haven't really kept track.

the ps4 version of isshin seems so unnecessary after playing the demo.  the game was clearly designed for ps3, scoped around the rgg5 engine, which i'm pretty sure is running at 60 fps most of the time on ps3.  pretty much just paying more money to pay more money.

Why would you not want to play a version of a game at 1080p with clean AA and locked 60fps if you can vs 720p, no AA, usually 60fps version.


I mean if you have you have a PS4, wouldn't you rather play a better version of all the remaining upcoming PS3 games?  What you're saying is like why bother having 1080p/60fps/4x AA PC versions available because the PS3/X360 versions are good enough.  If you've got a PC that runs them, you get the PC version because it looks/runs the best.  If you've got a PS4 and there's a cross-gen game, you get the PS4 version because it looks/runs the best.  I wish every remaining PS3 game was coming cross-gen.  Stuff like Tales of Zestria and Persona 5 would assuredly look better at higher resolution.  Hell, everything does, even old games re-rendered in emulators.

I mean, I get a lot of free games on PS+ for PS3 that I'd like to play like Metro Last Light and Grid 2 and stuff, but I'd rather pay $15 in a steam sale to buy them and play them on PC because it's a much better experience when they look cleaner, sharper and run better.

Sure.  Wasn't saying it was.  Just if you have a PS4 it's another game to get on the system if you're getting it.  Also eh, 720->1080p is more than minimal for my view of graphics.  Especially if they throw some AA in on top of that to give it a cleaner look with no jaggies in sight.

And the $10 thing is lame, but at least it's only Japan being Japan and elsewhere cross-gen stuff costs the same across the board.  Then again, even in Japan Ground Zeroes costs the same cross-gen.

Yup, just looked like Myst with basic 'connect the line' puzzles. And knowing Jonathan Blow, a pretentious narrative that all the hipsters in the game press will eat up alive (just like Braid).

The write-up for this game in Wired really piqued my interest on this game.

I'm always a sucker for games that utilize 3D space to create puzzles (ala modern Zelda, Portal). I remain optimistic about this one.

I could go either way on the witness. I think blow is mostly annoying and I thought braid was an interesting game but also an over-rated game. I glanced through the video and I really couldn't tell whether it was something I would like or if its something you have to play yourself to sort of get into the mood for.

Really like the graphics style, but that type of puzzles will get boring after 15. If he creates a nice looking world, the puzzles better have some kind of interaction with the world that goes beyond open door by solving some logic puzzles.

Just ask PD, he tried it recently and it appeared to reduce him to instability.

I've only been able to play an hour, but it's fun so far.  The game does a good job of subtly explaining how puzzles work.

I wish the graphics were nicer.

It's not a looker in the technical department, but it has a lovely atmosphere.  The art design is really well done.

I'm gonna preface this by saying I'm not a hater when it comes to games. I really do try to form my own opinion away from the masses of reviews or forum group think.

It seems "okay" so far. But nothing to get all hot and bothered about like the reviews are making it out to be. I mean maybe it keeps on getting just deeper and deeper as you go so one hour isn't reflective of how you will feel later but after that one hour I was like, okay I'm done. I've had enough for awhile. It wasn't like holy shit I can't wait to get back to this! It's more like I'll play some more if I'm not busy later today or tomorrow or whatever. It honestly felt like a mobile game to me. And I don't mean that as a diss. But more that feeling where you are done with Angry Birds until the next time you play Angry birds.

Maybe I'm just not a puzzle fiend so the brilliance is eluding me right now or I'm only an hour in and the brilliance is still coming. But "okay" seems like the experience so far. I'll post again maybe when I'm 5 hours in or something to see if things have changed.

Once the game starts using actual in-world concepts to feed into puzzle solutions is when it started to click for me. I finished the symmetry section and I'm doing a series of puzzles that involve actual mazes to feed into the line puzzles.

You can do it believe in yourself. Also if something doesn't click with you right away leave and come back to it at another time. I'm just over 200 puzzles deep and find that method really working for me.

you are stuck till you finish those puzzles. If you are on the high platform try the two puzzle door if you want to break free for a bit.

I was able to solve the first one in that two panel set but the second is holding me up. And on the other panel set to the left, I'm stuck on the first one.

Oh well, I'll bang my head against it until I figure it out.

If it's the red puzzle with the three Tetris pieces think about how you'd add the pieces together to make the line work. The placement of said pieces is important.

Also helpful if you think of the absence of space in that puzzle which is 4 cubes or a square.

I rewatched the section and it does teach you the concept of the sample shape not having to literally be inside the shape you create (IG, a three piece sample doesn't have to be located in the actual three piece shape that's created) but the fact that the game restricted my access to that tutorial area, it was impossible for me to go back and refresh my memory.

This is compounded by the fact that the previous puzzle right before the one I was stuck on did not require the skill.

I will admit I am at fault by not remembering but I feel the way the game presented that scenario put you at a serious disadvantage and wasn't very fair to the player.

Hit maybe the 5 hour mark. It seems like a solid entertaining puzzle game. It does get more clever and interesting as you go. I can more clearly see the appeal as you get further in. The game feels very crafted which is impressive. It may not be 10 out of 10 great for me but I could maybe see it appealing to someone else in that way potentially.

Had a wow moment in the game when I figured out something. The tendrils this games has are mighty impressive. I think it would be too big of a spoiler if I talked about it, but I think I found the real game now.

The tetris puzzles just go right over my head. Luckily my girlfriend is far better at them. On the flip side, the puzzles with the little tri-stars near the quarry are pretty easy for me.

I'm at +9 and starting to work on some real shit hard stuff. The audio puzzles really are fucking obtuse. My dry board and lamination paper are getting a work out.

We churned through a whole bunch of puzzles over the weekend. I did half of the quarry (not the boathouse), a bunch of the treehouse puzzles. Started the puzzles at the greenhouse, made my way up the mountain and got the audio recording there (which was like fucking 2 hours long jesus christ). Found the bamboo forest but couldn't do any puzzles there. The little zen garden with the puzzles on the wooden fence are were going over our heads.

We also found the video chamber under the windmill and I had already found one of the solutions. Weird shit that is.

Right now I'm in a situation where I have done a good chunk of puzzles in a lot of areas but have gotten hung up near the end of them all.

Also the village seems pretty brutal as I haven't even finished a single puzzle there.

Walkthroughs degrade the experience and the only rewarding aspect of the game. The knowledge and satisfaction of completing the games numerous puzzles. Yeah I know....

So I got into the mountain. I took one look at the puzzles I was expected to solve in there was promptly turned the game off. I'll need to come back to this some other time, those puzzles look like fresh hell.
