You must seek out Super Duper burger it is awesome. Also hit up CASK and Hard Water if you are remotely interested in Whiskey/Scotch/Rye/Bourbon. If you like Gin head across the bridge to Alameda and check out St. George Spirits which is housed in a WWII hanger and is located on the airfield. Once you're done there I'd suggest going to the Pacific Pinball Museum that is there in Alameda. After that check out what Berkley has to offer, my favorite joint over there is Jupiters they make amazing pizza and have a large selection of Sours.
But more on point there is lots to see in SF area. If you've never ridden the trolley you should do that it's well worth it for the experience. I'd suggest ridding it from Union Square to the Wharf. That way you can experience the amazing vista looking over both Alcatraz and GoldenGate. Once there I'd suggest a small food truck located near the wharf called Codmothers it has the most authentic british fish and chips I've ever had. After you've eaten I'd suggest the self guided tour of the USS PAMPANITO one of only a few subs left from WWII. Do not bother with Alcatraz you can learn more than you experience by just watching youtube. I'd also suggest climbing up to Coit Tower, be warned that some of the streets here are the steepest in the world. There's also the California Science Academy which is awesome to check out, and the old SF mint which offers a self guided tour. Don't miss out on going to the ferry building there you can take a little stroll up to Tcho chocolates which makes some awesome chocolate, better than the other SF chocolate factory. Also something of interest is inside the Union Square mall, the main rotunda is original and was lifted 6 stories to its present location. Its one of the most awesomist rotundas I've seen and there are tours of it.
I could go on and on theres a lot of cool places, hell if you want a guide with a car let me know and I'll take you around. I have a lot of fun going to all of these places.
