People are complaining about the music, but I thought the original had some pretty shitty and annoying tunes. I honestly didn't care for it.

I think the characters are better. The characters in the original were pretty forgettable, and the sequel's way of having them pop up as cameos proves this. I hate that security lady from the first, also, the steel samurai client was gay. The afro chick isn't that good a character either. On the other hand, Pearls, Acro, the entirety of the circus cast make JFA have a much better cast imo. Also, Von Karma's daughter is a laugh riot. I like her a lot more than Edgeworth's mopey, emo self.
Although, no one can top Marshall.
