Borderlands: For The Pre-Sequel [360/PS3/PC]
« on: April 09, 2014, 10:49:23 AM »

Quote
The Pre-Sequel tells the story of how Jack came to become the villain of Borderlands 2, with you helping his (initially well-meaning) rise to eventual super-villainy.
In the demo Athena and Willhelm are trying to storm a Hyperion base in order to stop a giant death-ray that's blasting lumps out of the moon.

The lack of atmosphere has a couple of gameplay implications: Firstly you need to keep your oxygen meter topped up by collecting O2 canisters, which drop in the same way as other loot.
Not fun in itself, but you can also vent these to enable double jumps and to power jetpacks. This creates cool platforming opportunities—one massive jump sees the characters land on a pillar of moon rock, below which lava from a laser strike flows—and adds a pleasing verticality to the shootouts as enemies whizz around.
You can also shoot out their helmets to rob them of air. As if being shot in the face wasn't already inconvenience enough.

Why so? A customer base of many millions.

Also, I bet you get this in the PS4/XB1 BORDERLANDS COMPLEAT port somewhere down the line.

I never finished BL2, but I put a good 40+ hours into it and a bunch of the expansion material. I'll buy this on a Steam sale someday.

I probably spent like 10 hrs on 2, but I got it for like 8 bucks or something, so I feel I got my money's. would consider buying this bargain bin.

A new Duke game built from the ground up would be awesome - hell, Duke RPG which is just re-skinned Borderlands would be fine, provided Duke talks and says cool shit.

Duke Nukem = funny and cool

Borderlands = unfunny to the point of cringe, lame ass characters

c'mon sceneman you gotta be trolling. Duke Nukem's humor is the EXACT kind of lazy, referential humor that Borderlands' is. Saying one is better than the other is like saying shit smells better than poop.

Sceneman is right that Borderlands tries very hard, but he is wrong in saying that Duke is better.

Duke is trying even harder now, original duke was cool because he took himself serious.

Anyhoo Borderlands is a snoozefest so whatevs. Im holding out for Hellgate London for my fps loot fix.

Also, does anyone do previews any more? Because this video shows why they're obsolete.

I played at events so I never played straight through from the beginning. My limited time with the game was always in the moon segments with random characters so my impressions are really limited.

Anyways, after a while you get used to it but my very first impression was that it was slow as fuck, floaty, and honestly not fun because of that. Then I got into a Moon Buggy it was ok.
