Smell was totally okay this time. I think they converted a bunch of Women's bathrooms to Men's because I'd walk in and there would be rows and rows of stalls

so

how did it smell?

Eh. They did indeed convert some bathrooms on the first floor, which seemed to cause a minor stir according to my friend, but it was kind of super convenient.

Otherwise there were some areas that were just  :-X Feet smell was the most prevalent and fetid.

Disclaimer: aside from my panel I was on the show floor the entire time. Now that I think about it, the closed-in rooms might have had some funk in spades.

Five minutes? Try an hour and a half, on the first day. Jake sleeps. A lot.

:lol Well, they were five minutes late on Saturday at least. Said they wanted to get donuts for the surrounding booths but it was too packed.

You guys were the "trouble area" apparently.

We did good after dropping the price of the tshirts to twenty bucks, that looks to be the sweet spot.

Yeah, $23 was kind of a weird price. "Why do I need three extra dollars?" Glad you dropped it cause I just had twenties on me, lol.

One of you should have had Square or something though, for reals.

Tried it. We can't get a reliable phone signal off the show floor for the first two and a half days. Too many peoples.

Hmm, my phone was fine, aside from weird slowness while I was waiting in line for The Evil Within. Some other peeps on the other side (TCG/board games) were using it. (Or was it Paypal's knockoff? It was a triangle.)

Thanks for the pictures andrex

I'm a very piccy person. Thankfully my phone camera isn't absolute shit this year. Night and day compared to two years ago.

I'm surprised how few people in your pictures were in costumes, aren't those usually pretty prevalent at conventions like that?

Yeah, anecdotally there seemed to be waaayyy fewer cosplayers. Don't know why. Maybe the economy? Lol.

I'm glad cause while the big ass costumes can be kind of neat they're absolutely infuriating to try and walk past or wait in line with.

Lots of people in stupid/"ironic" hats though.

True. But that didn't stop people before...

If I had my way I'd ban all cosplay and turn PAX East into an indie-only megafest. <_<

I dunno man, when Sony, Nintendo, Capcom, etc. all pull out and they decide it's still a good idea to announce a fourth PAX I gotta think they'll make money either way. :yeshrug

Half of PAX East was indie this year, not even exaggerating.

I wouldn't want an indie only show because there would be no sponges to soak up most of the crowd. The more distinguished mentally-challenged fellows Microsoft can pull in to play Titanfall means the better chance I have of checking out all the indie games I can.

Yeah $23 was a weird price but I BOUGHT IT ANYWAYS.

Haha, I thought the exact same thing when I waked by the PC freeplay area. I'm thankful it exists to take a good chunk of people off the main expo floor.
