What part of the whimsy game is this, Nintendo?

They don't even have the goddamn common courtesy to give us an RPG Mode reach-around.

Season passes are usually a thing employed by AAA console games. In your circumstance, I can understand getting it confused for mobile gaming.

I was hesitating whether to get this or not. Adding a season pass and day one DLC made me decide against getting it. Nintendo needs to fix their shitty online system before I spend $14.99 on a few extra courses.

Yeah, I'd never do anything digital with Nintendo until their fix their shitty account system. Some gaffot accidentally deleted his NN ID when he thought he was deleting his profile on his Wii U. This resulted in him losing ALL the games he bought digitally on his Wii U and 3DS, and Nintendo won't replace it. I mean, it was still his fault for not reading the warnings, but I have no idea why it's even an option.

Yeah, I'd never buy digital from Nintendo. Offer up a confusing account system and then blame the consumer for accidents, brehs.

you have to give nintendo credit for creating an account system that has none of the benefits of an account system.  it's like if someone made a tablet that's tethered to a console.

The game is $10 less than a typical 3DS game, has as many courses as the last game in the franchise and more than HSG on Vita, and the $15 DLC nearly doubles that. I'm ok with it.

First gamers complain that Nintendo isn't getting with the times. Then they do and gamers complain.

Nintendo can't win. I don't know if anyone has ever been as regularly discriminated against as Nintendo. Especially in the last fifty years after Donkey Kong.

At least they tell you what's in the Season Pass. AAA games could learn from that.

It's highly likely that I will buy this season pass.

more importantly, a new picross is out today on the 3ds eshop.

Will be buying that immediately when it comes out. WISH I COULD GET A PICROSS 3DS SEQUEL THOUGH.

well, it's not quite a sequel, but if you want more 3d picross, this is great:

I assumed he meant 3D Picross, cuz yeah, the eShop Picross games are done by the very same people that did Picross DS.

I love me some Picross, honest to blog, but I never thought I'd live in a Western world where I suffer from TOO MUCH PICROSS

Picross, like 2048, is for simple dum-dums. Although I've never played 3D Picross.

It's just as simple, but it can obviously get more involved with multiple planes. It gets annoying when you have to guess though, which I am convinced you have to with some of the bigger puzzles.

Wasn't there a new picross released on 3ds shop just the other month? You were talking to Aeana about it, Oscar.

Yeah I did, sorry. I accidentally typed the S after 3D out of habit, lol. Speaking of e4 at least they give you bonus puzzles for buying all the previous games so that's sort of neat I suppose. Still not a fan of Mega Picross!

World Tour is pretty damn great. I know it's been said a thousand times before but really the only thing missing from this game is the awesome RPG mode from the GBC version and mini golf from the N64 one. Also as an FYI there's a "Free-Trial Course Pack" available for download which lets you try out some of the DLC courses for free.

The loading screen animations are pretty neat!

and actually, i find 3d picross to be the more simple of the two types by far.  depending on how they're built, larger picross puzzles sometimes require you to narrow down your options and test a theory to see if it works.  3d picross puzzles can *always* be solved by the same methods of slowly chewing, rotating, then chewing some more.  i think 3d picross *could* have more sack than it does, but lord knows nintendo never went that far with the included puzzles.
The screen size would have made that annoying real quick. Removing layers was tedious enough. Multiple levels of zoom, where you can barely read the hints on the blocks - nah.
