The new item that looks like a block with a gramophone attached to it is called the Super Horn... when your character sounds the super horn it wipes out all items and characters in the vicinity, including a blue shell if its about to pounce. Blue shells hang in the air for a moment before they hit you so providing you have one of these, you'd have no problem blowing it away... So the horn can be used offensively or saved as a defensive item...

Those games alone are ~$150 new so it's not a bad deal TBH. Been looking for deals since I want my younger sis to be able to join me and older sis in Mario Kart.

I only hesitate because younger sis has her SM3DW and WWHD saves on my system and AFAIK there's no way to get that onto a different system.

Seems like they REALLY skimped on the battle mode (my favorite part of Mario Kart!) Only Balloon Battle (which I'm fine with) but this video just looks... boring. At least there are eight BB-only courses, and this looks better:

I would say they did a good job with it in Super Mario Kart, Kart 64 and Double Dash. But their tweaks to the formula outside of DD have all sort of flopped.
