I notice it only when I actively look for it and probably would never have noticed it at all if it wasn't brought up as a "big deal." It's completely a non-issue.

I can see a frame stutter that's the result of the game running out of sync with the display's refresh rate (59 instead of 60). As a result of that you see a dupe frame that manifests itself as a slight jitter and I can see it only if I'm actively looking for it.

Trust me, as someone who can notice this shit, it's completely irrelevant and a non-issue but an interesting point to bring up nonetheless. It's the backlash that happened as a result that's ridiculous and should be ignored.

I played this game a lot over the past few days. It's moar Mario Kart, which is just fine by me. I think the greatest strength of the game is that you can tell Nintendo actually gave a shit about this game. The track designs are great, there is a lot of attention to detail, the music isn't half bad, the graphics are great, and a lot of thought was put into making some of the SNES retro courses easier to handle (this was an issue with MK Wii). The character options are kind of weird but eh, whatever, at least there is a lot of them. There is a lot of blue shell bullshit but a skilled

MK player will still come in first.

So far, so good!

I tried the tracks out briefly. Just did time attack runs through them. I would say that the while the visuals were pretty awesome, the layouts were kind of boring. But SNES rainbow road still rules.
