Brazil - ChileVidal is back so that is great for Chile, I wouldnt put much thought into them losing against Holland because neither team HAD to win and they missed Vidal.
Brazil has looked shaky but their squad is sublime, home advantage, referee advantage should carry them a long way. Chile has a chance but Brazil is the favourite here of course.
Netherlands - MexicoHolland is the clear favourite, but we have a tendency to choke. Euro 2008 is a prime example, after we beat France 4-1, Italy 3-0 and Romania 2-0 in the group stages we lost to Russia 1-3. This new 5-3-2 tactic that van Gaal deployed seems to be working great so far, but its very reliant on RvP and mostly Robben. The defense is still the weak point with mostly lesser experienced members but against Mexico this should be enough. There have been some huge errors on the ball by them but so far no one has capitalized on them.
While Holland is the fav, Mexico has a chance and has proven to be a fighting team. If the Dutch stars have an off day we are in trouble. There is a plan B with Huntelaar up front but I dunno how the team would react to that, as the tactic is counter attacking.
