Yeah Warzone is damn fun. I have a blast playing it.

Got Diamond Rank in arena which just goes to show how new to the experience people are because I'm awful in Halo but I was beasting earlier against the really bad people it was putting me against.

The controls are so wonderful imo. It feels like for the first time for me at least Halo just feels perfect in that regard. Shoulder Charging somebody is just a god damn great feeling. And it also to begin with a multi-purpose weapon like the pistol. So good.

Might be a few days before ranking in Warzone and Arena balances out. Just got utterly rolled by a team that knew what they were doing despite the team I was on having a mid match comeback at around 400 points and evening up the score before they just wrecked us. Needs to be major "Quit when losing" penalties since most of the team started leaving around the 700 point as well when they didn't feel they were going to win and once you start losing squad the jig is up. REQ system seems fine. 343i maybe does need to have something to combat the "Oh well my team is losing so I won't bother burning my REQ"

Only played a little single player. It's pretty nuts. Promethean Knights still fucking cunts to fight in Solo. Not as bad as the warping ones in H4 but making them like Hunters is goddamn idiotic.

Yeah sadly I tend to do the same. If its a decently close game, I'll use what I have but when we are down by a lot then I tend to be like fuck it. I'm not wasting my good shit in an ass kicking.

Didn't get diamond but i got the one below that? (platinum) I want to say it's because its 60fps but the whole dedicated servers thing might help too. Game "feels" really good. I rarely feel like I'm dying to bullshit and not personal error.

lol yea halo slayer is all about quake style power weapon control (and the ability to use them)
You need to know when they're about to pop and also map control the area in which they do spawn

Oversimplification of course but thats the entire meta much like how CoD's entire meta is map control + spawn awareness

Did two levels of legendary co-op (2 people) - the AI is braindead we spent most of our time laughing as they just stood there as we bled out.

Did you call them over? As you're bleeding out you have to press the reload button to call them over.

Doesnt matter. AI cant climb up and they will still stand there, they dont even shoot back at the enemies.

Beat the campaign on Heroic.

I thought it was fine as far as Halo campaigns go. It's like a somewhat better version of the Halo 4 campaign.

If I had a complaint its still that the fighting the Promethean enemies isn't as interesting and fun as fighting the covenant enemies in Halo because their behaviors are less dynamic. It's better than Halo 4 though where I often found the enemies just overwhelming and annoying.

I don't really get the complaints about the story. I mean I get whether an individual may like it or not but the reviews gave me the impression that you needed some outside Halo bible to even understand what was going on. I thought it was probably the easiest and least confusing of the Halo games.

Also a bit easier than the other Halo's but I think that's because you are always rolling with a 4 person crew which helps with splitting enemy fire and revives. Even on Heroic I didn't die nearly as much as I did on some of the past Halo games.

My favorite aspect of the game is probably the large level design. There are many opportunities to get to higher ground or flank from a different angle as you move from combat encounter to combat encounter.

The length for me was also fine. But then I'm not one to want these popcorn shooters to overstay their welcome.

This game is pretty good

That image macro says there are 21 maps but there seem to be 8 Arena maps, 7 Forge variants, and 3 Warzone? Are they counting Warzone Assault as unique maps?

Yeah, I had a lot of complaints about 4 from the start. This has been great so far though. Warzone is awesome. No disconnection or lag issues so far either.

I liked 4 and honestly this feels like 4 to me in many ways but I understand the complaints about 4. Like no descoping. How sprinting had no penalty. How the abilities like Promethean Vision weren't Halo-Like.

I feel like this one is Halo 4 but fixed with an understanding of what works and doesn't work in Halo. It just feels very good.

Warzone = meh
Warzone Assault = niiice

Warzone Assault has the necessary level of sequential objective and cohesive player flow. The other is just stuff happening around, no one care.

Well yes because Warzone Assault keeps everyone focused on one area making is just a "throw your body into the fire" spawn match. it's kind of boring and lame. Would have been better to have the multiple bases still going on.

I prefer Regular warzone to assault. It divides the action a bit better and doesn't feel like quite the meat grinder that assault is.

Regular warzone isn't much better since it's extremely important to hold Garage, Fortress, and Spire for example.

Sure, it's not a perfect mode, but at least the multiple objectives keeps some players spread out. Though surprisingly, the maps feel much smaller than I thought they would. In the end, wide open levels that facilitate small battles happening in and around them just aren't popular. Even BF tries to push players into points for instant action.

Either way I hope when BTB launches there is an objective version so I can play some CTF and assault.

Basically you don't move your aiming cursor as fast diagonally as you do horizontally or vertically.

I wouldn't term it as broken as console shooters are always monkeying around with how the aiming cursor moves due to the nature of dual analog. But 343 is aware of it and said they would look into it.

To each their own. I find it intense.
Bodies everywhere to hold them back every metre. Alternatively, advance inch by inch. Every foot gained, hardfought.
Doorways in key pushes are full with bullets, nades, explosives, purple etc...

I can see that. I mean it does feel more like Rush which I really do like in Battlefield. I just wish it was slightly more dynamic. I don't feel like I have as many options as I do in Rush for example.

Honestly I would really like them to lean into the whole Warzone mode and go all the way with it like Battlefield. Preset classes and roles and such. That would be epic.

Today I realized that req packs aren't just  awarded for money or leveling up, but that you get points from every match that can be put towards them. Just bought 10 silver packs as a result and got some cool perm unlocks that change my win ratio.

I haven't even touched Arena yet but I hope they release more war zone maps soon.

yes back on some of the ugliest looking maps.

And in typical Halo fashion not allowing you to play what you want. Just want to play BTB CTF? Hope you like Slayer! I don't know how Halo gets a pass on this.

The new mode, called “Warzone Firefight”, will bring PvE to Halo 5: Guardians multiplayer and let players battle together against common foes (and truly show off their custom Spartans to boot!)

Every single verb and noun in that sentence totally arouses me :mouf

NVM I figured it out. You are basically forced to run stacked in Scorpion / Wraiths at the end.
