This does just say Justin, so actually maybe it won't affect Twitch?

i doubt it tho as they both run off the same systems.

Doesn't twitch let you export to youtube?

yeah.  takes fucking forever, but yeah.

the bigger issue here is that they're removing the existing archives, many of which were never exported to youtube.

Oh wow. Looking at their help file, they aren't even giving you a mass "export to Youtube" option. "Download it and then upload it to Youtube yourself. We ain't giving you shit." Oh boy.  :lol

Silent streaming because they remove copyrighted music, no archiving

So, basically YouTube bought Twitch to...turn it into YouTube?

abstractbill = first engineer at Justin.tv.

Google is why Twitch's archives aren't going away.

Everyone ITT: way to be dumb as fuck.

It's alright, the default Google logo stirs my loins enough anyways.

My understanding was that Google was buying Twitch.tv and Justin.tv would not be included. Then again, the deal isn't even finalized or public anyways.

Tried uploading 2hrs of Tropico 5 from twitch to Youtube tonight. Everything got a copyright claim on the game music.

For now... I'm skeptical Twitch will keep theirs if they're getting similar view stats.
