I liked that Dead Rising DLC-thing the best.  Looked crazy.  And I think I'd like Sunset Overdrive and Crackdown (if it's like the original). That's about it.

phantom dust

2015 or 2016 getting an xbox

FTFY. Platinum Games is nice and all, but it just looks like "Devil May Monster Hunt" same for Sunset Overdrive: Nice, but not a system seller for me.

Phantom Dust meanwhile...

I liked that Dead Rising DLC-thing the best.

Yeah, I loved the Capcom trolling there with the title of it. If it's exclusive to consoles though, disappointment. I want Frank West in Dead Rising 3 PC.  :(

Quick thoughts.

Ori The Blind Forest looks really neat.
Sunset Overdrive looks kind of sluggish and half baked.
Never been into Forza or Halo
Phantom Dust never played the original, not sure what kind of game it is
Scalebound no clue but hopefully it's not too self-indulgent like Wonderful 101
Crackdown looks ok I guess

Any actual gameplay footage looked pretty janky. I might be getting spoiled by my gaming PC.

Seemed like a good conference. No focus on Kinect, no focus on non-game applications. New IP, some old series people wanted.

However, aside from Platinum, seems like MS is done with courting Japan.

Phantom Dust never played the original, not sure what kind of game it is

3rd person arena combat game that utilizes a CCG battle-system. Developed by some of the Panzer Dragoon people. Great game but totally niche.

Yeah, while a Platinum game is always welcome, they're track record has now been marred by the janky-ass Wonderful 101.  Being that it's their most recent game, we have cause for concern.

I'm not buying a single thing demoed today (well, I'll probably buy Cuphead, but on Vita/PC/PS4 or something) and I still think that presentation will be better than what Nintendo and Sony have to show.

Microsoft

- Fantasia demo reminder that it still exists, which will be really awkward considering
- Although they will stress how they haven't abandoned Kinect and show a couple toss-off games
- Crackdown 3 teased
- Halo HDer Collection
- Some exclusive Indie titles to show they haven't forgotten about Indies

A lot of these were gimmes, though

100% CG with not much of an art style. Basically just a knight dude beating up on dragons. Really did look like Devil May Cry + Monster Hunter (single player.)

CGI. Donte remix with less Meth-head and Monster Hunter-ish "gameplay" prototype.

Not really a system seller unless you're balls deep on Kamiya's shaft.

Solid conference. I saw at least three games all XB1 exclusives that I'll be getting this year.

Didn't like the abundance of CG trailers.

Wish their was more explanation about what certain games were.

BUT

Kamiya and Phantom Dust redeemed the show.
