So who's excited for the Nintendo press conference?

There better be a 15 minute block devoted to Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate OR ELSE :maf

I'm not really expecting much. GAF's gonna splooge over Bayo 2 and X but eh. Smash looks meh-y and I doubt any new character or stage could change that at this point. They've exhausted Mario (or at least, they better have by this point, give that fucker a break.)

They'll probably show almost nothing of the new Zelda, book it. Maybe Link's new shitty friend and how Link looks. (Oh gee, it's young adult Link AGAIN, like OoT/TP/SS weren't enough.)

Brace yourselves for a bunch of NFP figurine Skylanders shit, and Pokken fighters.

I would be happy with a Galaxy HD Collection or Twilight Princess HDmake like WW. Some footage of Pokemon R/S would be nice.

spoiler (click to show/hide)
LMAO I'm most looking forward to remakes, fuuuuuuuck :neogaf :ufup :snoop

Uncharted devs targeting 60fps/1080 is pretty sexy.  60fps with really nice visuals will be :o to look at.

key word 'Targeting' I bet mid next year we'll hear about why 30fps was the right choice for the game.

i expect *nothing* from nintendo's conference, and if anyone expects otherwise, they're either deluded or haven't been watching the last five or so years.

2010 was pretty good but that's pretty far out in the rearview mirror, I agree.

Pretty obvious from 2007, 2008, 2012, and 2013 that they don't really care about E3.

E3 2006 was a fluke I suppose. :'(

Eh, it's Naughty Dog and developed for a single closed platform.  I don't think they'd be using the word 60fps if they weren't planning on defining the visuals by it.

Someone on GAF compared The Order to Telltale's TWD...suddenly it makes sense.  PnC adventure game with shooter segments?

as a game conference, it was the annual wade through mediocre sludge.

as a sony conference, it was a confession to every accusation that their games are better seen than played.

the order 1886 is their autonomous babel.

the order's gameplay, no exaggeration:  walk down a hall > cutscene > opportunity to fire a gun > cutscene > walk down a hall > cutscene > opportunity fire a gun > cutscene.  also there's no reason to fire your gun because the cutscene of the werewolf attacking you happens regardless.  it's a telltale game with high production values.

I keep giving the order the benefit of the doubt for the ridiculous good atmosphere and developer's history, but there's no substance.

I am. As a 3ds owner I'm interested in what they've got.

not much I´m afraid... unless you want Monster Hunter 4, but we already knew about that.

First trailer was January 23, 2013:

Second trailer was at last year's E3, on June 11.

I like video games.
Sony announced a lot of video games.
But I'm not really interested in any of those video games.

I thought Uncharted looked gross once Nate woke up in the jungle. Something really seemed off there. Maybe it was just the jank Twitch stream.

I hope X doesn't turn into some Monster Hunter infused co-op game. At least not at the expense of a full blown single player game with actual developed party members and story. The moment you tell me it's a  heavily focused co-op game you can go to hell.

The one thing I hope most for Nintendo's conference is that it doesn't buffer like a motherfucker.

Hopefully somebody has a live YouTube version tomorrow.

Thank you for attending the PlayStation® E3 Experience. Please register below by 11:59PM PT on 6/10/2014 to redeem your gifts. Your digital gift basket will include a Destiny First Look Alpha Code on June 12, a Battlefield: Hardline Beta Code on June 16, and a $5 PSN Voucher and 30 Day Music Unlimited Trial on June 18.

Well, that's a bit of a letdown.

Expected more than a $5 voucher.

The Sony Conference was worse than Microsoft's, mainly because of the endless executive talking segments and shit like fatman Bendis talking about the Powers 'TV' series. That shit sucked and it got really, really boring at the end. I forget his name, but the SCEA president in particular was really bad.

Basically just more of the same E3 suckage, as per usual.

Other than anime, that Lilly Bergamo trailer told us nothing anyway. Could have been a F2P card game for all I know.

Well I'd take anime over whatever we saw.

What's disappointing is that this confirms it's an online title through and through. They already said it was going to have some online focus, but that didn't rule out a single player. Now we know it's not that kind of game. Yet for the fans of Suda 51 games, I don't think they go to his games looking for online gameplay. They go to his games for crazy Suda made characters and story. It dosen't look like it's going to be that kind of game.

i think it's safe to say that if suda51 wants to keep making games, he needs to not cater to his fans anymore.  in fact, he should poll his fans to find out exactly what they want, and do the opposite, because he's running out of publishers to take the fall for his crappy-selling junk.

Didn't Lollipop Chainsaw sell OK?

Not like Kadokawa really had a choice, though. GungHo bought Grasshopper prior to Killer Is Dead's release.

I wonder if Lilly Bergamo got de-animed because of PS4's non-presence in Japan? Maybe they want to try to appeal to western audiences that own the machine?

Trying to remember what I played that Suda was associated with.  Could not get into Killer 7.  Thought Samurai Champloo was crap.  Didn't really get into No More Heroes.  Combat felt too simplistic to the point of boredom.  Liked Lollipop Chainsaw and Shadows Of The Damned (which I still need to finish...well, start over I guess since I no longer own it on 360).  Played a few levels of Killer Is Dead and have no idea if I will ever play any more.  The combat in that game is back to NMH levels of zzzzzz.

I think the good for that game had less to do with Mikami and Suda and more to do with the actual guy who directed the game.

Killer is Dead is probably the worst of Suda's games this gen. The combat is pretty decent if not a bit too simple, but it's fun enough. It's just agonizing to listen to as it's incomprehensible. At least Killer 7 had some payoff and substance to it's weirdness. Killer is Dead has none and it's disappointing because the visuals and premise where not used in a better game.
