There really weren't any. MS's show was pretty tightly knit.

I'm sure Nintendo will prove to be a disaster though.

Powers takes the top stop. Bendis was talking for what felt like years. If all you have is concept art, just do a short narrated video or keep that shit to Comic-Con/PlayStation Blog.

I dunno why they were talking about Vib Ribbon either. I was expecting indie companies to start remaking that and Parappa or something.

The British Sony guy and his stories. No one gave a fuck. If they cut him out, but left everything the same you would have had a better paced conference.

Bendis in general sucks, but he also just kept talking and talking in what amounted to nothing.  James Cameron at Ubisoft flashbacks with him.

fucking teasing vib ribbon just to segue into mortal goddam kombat

You're surprised they showed off a new entry to a massively popular fighting series instead of a dumb weeb game that never came out here to begin with? Tsk tsk that's a rookie mistake. :P

Easily my favorite part of the conference. Yeah dudes they're gonna dedicate time to Vib-Ribbon at this multi-million dollar event. Be real now.

I liked Powers when it started. I never found out if it started back up again.

The part where they showed the boring ass, same old games they show every year and didn't show me a compelling reason to buy a $400 failbox.

They fucking *did* dedicate time to it, that's the insane part!  They had it up on the big screen behind them and talked lovingly about it for a minute just to introduce Mortal Kombat X.  You can't think of anything more logical to introduce that trailer?  Really?

Weren't you paying attention? Shawn Laydan was introducing himself and talking about one of his early projects which shows his longevity with the company and impresses the special fellow weeb diehards who know that game as a bonus. That was the only point of that, to communicate that the brand new CEO is not a new guy and has roots with the Japanese ownership.

Sure it was a highly incongruous segue into an unrelated game but you DO show off MK or an indie darling, not some obscure Japanese game that no one gives a fuck about.

I do think Vib Ribbon is a neat game. :shh

Littlebigplanet fake enthusiasm. Seriously, are there any legit LBP fans out there? I'd like to meet these people.

Powers was a wtf moment for me. Did Sony honestly expect people to care about this? Again, who is the audience for this?

Didn't watch MS conference tho.

Me.

yeah, I didn't need another lbp and it's worn out its welcome, but lbp1 was one of the out of nowhere surprisingly best games of last Gen for me and lbp2 really refined it.  Used to read the gaf monthly best levels thread and try out 10 stages or so a month and find a few diamonds in the rough.  It let people be really creative with level design, like a mainstreamed RPG maker where experiencing someone's work takes 10 mins instead of hours.   The single player campaigns were nicely crafter with a bunch of heart.  Yeah you'd miss a jump every 20 mins due to physics wonkiness but the game wasn't punishing so it didn't matter.

Will pick this one up, but not particularly excited for it, kind of like ACV.
