I'm hoping for even a 25-33% discount on Divinity: Original Sin. It's supposed to be coming out of Early Access next week.

Well I still have a pile of stuff from last summer and xmas that I've barely played/not even installed yet, but there'll be a thing or two that's too good to pass up on I'm sure.

Not gonna. 50%, at best. I'll probably pass; thoroughly enjoying Dark Souls now and will probably want a bit of a break when I'm done with it.

I feel like trying The Witcher 2. Looking forward to a <$10 sale.

It's turn-based. It's isometric. You control a party of characters. You can kill anyone and steal anything you want to. You can make the two main characters argue with each other during dialogs.

You can make the two main characters argue with each other during dialogs.

Whiskey. Tango. Foxtrot?  So... the Gollum / Smeagol experience?   :lol

Is there a reason you would want to disagree with yourself?

It's designed around the game being co-op, two people can argue over how a situation is to be handled in the dialog [one PC wants to give the ring back to the old man, the other PC wants to kill the old man and keep the ring, for example]. But since not everyone is going to play co-op, you can either have one of the characters use an AI to determine their dialog choices or just play both roles depending on what kind of personality you want each character to have. It's not really a game-defining feature, but it's a nice little bit of flavor.

I've read the guys blog about Democracy 3 and improvements and everything but Democracy 2 and 1 were so broken in weird ways. And it really felt like it should be a feature of another game like Civ or Tropico. As a standalone it just wasn't very compelling.

To note again, I haven't played Democracy 3 at all.

Already grabbed Dead Rising 3, Naruto Ultimate 3 and Octodad.  Not a bad start.  Was iffy on paying near full price for DR3, but probably won't be cheaper until Easter sale 2015 and it's a lot cheaper than buying an Xbone!

I didn't play until later last night. I tried a few rounds but there is a lot to deal with. You basically choose to be 1 of 7 nations with their current budgets and debt which I didn't care for. Makes it pretty hard to do anything meaningful. If you do something meaningful, like cutting the military budget and giving the money to programs for the poor, conservatives will try to assassinate you. Cut programs for the poor and taxes and liberals will try to assassinate you. No matter what you do, it will make a group of people mad. Just like IRL.

In 2 you could basically just bump up things a little and enact small things while keeping taxes not far beyond and keep winning by pleasing whatever the largest groups were and ignoring a few until they got too low then you give them a couple peanuts and they'll shut up for a while.

There was also a debt limit in the game, where you could run up it to near infinity for six or seven elections with 95% of the vote because there's no taxes either but then you would get invaded or something and overthrown by the IMF.  :lol

DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES BUY THIS GAME. Seriously, look how many hours I've played: Over a thousand.

People make fun of MMO players because they spend so much time working for imaginary goals, but at least they're hanging out with friends and collaborating. I've just been sitting here alone in my underwear in the dark. FOR 1000 HOURS.

I used to be like you. I had friends and family, hobbies and interests. I used to cook for myself and clean my apartment once in a while. I used to have house plants for god's sake!

I thought becoming king would take a week or two of gaming sessions at most. I WAS WRONG. Please, if there's anything you value in life, don't buy this game.
