Poor Lager though, holy shit. My parents have speeds like that and I want to kill myself every time I go home. I mean, I can tether but it usually uses up all my bandwidth before the weekend is over.

Got home from work around 6:20PM and realized my new modem was delivered. Took about 5 minutes to connect everything and follow the tutorial until the final step: call your internet provider to activate your modem. It took TWO AND A HALF HOURS to finish the process. They kept randomly sending me to the wrong departments, I'd be on hold for 11 minutes before being asked to leave a message, etc. At one point I was talking to someone who tried to tell me "sorry, tech support has gone home for the night." Seriously? Another person kept trying to sell me some type of modem leasing shit.

Finally I managed to get into tech support, and a nice Indian woman got me connected within 5 minutes. Fuck Comcast.

speedtest: 28mpbs

IE around what I'm paying for. I've been stuck around 3-7mpbs for the last week and a half. Turns out that my old router was losing power or some shit, and was super old. I got it from Comcast when I first started paying for internet in college. I upgraded to a Motorola Surfboard, which isn't the top of the line but fits the 30mpbs range I'm paying.

Amen. I rarely reached 20+ mpbs this year and lost my connection at least twice a week. But the last week and a half was just unbearable. Youtube videos took forever, porn took forever, lost my connection 3-5 times a day, drop in speed if someone was watching Netflix in the next room.

Disconnects are the FUCKING WORST.

Multiple times I've come home drunk and wanted to just watch a couple funny vids (not usually porn at that point, too tired

) before going to bed but then the internet drops and I'm slamming my mouse like a fucking ape trying to figure out the monolith.

Thankfully that's in the past. Not a single disconnect since the day after getting my router.
