Trying to play Dark Souls. Can't because of GFWL. MS says they're going to kill GFWL. They end not doing so. Can't log into old GFWL account, so I had to start a new account. A GFWL prompt does not start when loading up Dark Souls. I hit Live on start screen and get "DUNT" "DUNT" "DUNT" negative "you can't do that sorry" sounds.

Fuck GFWL and fuck MS.

Is your Dark Souls key tied to your old GFWL account? If so, you're probably screwed. Contact Microsoft Support and try to get access to your old account, I guess.

I managed to get into my old account and they renamed it to some lame ass name (

). I have my cheevos, but the gfwl prompt that's supposed to pop up when you load dark souls fresh isn't popping up. I fucking hate you MS.

If GFWL is still fucked up for you, you may need to redownload the client. Just make sure you uninstall whatever version you currently have installed first, and then reinstall it from here.

I already did that. It was giving me errors and shit before, so I had to uninstall it twice. Finally got to use GFWL proper, but still no Dark Souls pop up.

In short: fuck microsoft.

Haha I had dark souls client open while trying to uninstall gfwl for the 50th time and it says it can't uninstall because of dark souls which uses gfwl.

I tried to play Fallout 3 a few days ago and the game crashed on startup. Definitely a GFWL issue. But rather than bother with workarounds, fuck it-- will play it whenever they remove GFWL instead.

Yup. I tried New Vegas but wasn't quite feeling it as much as what I played of FO3 years ago. Ended up playing Skyrim instead,

There is a GFWL disabler-mod for FO3 but I don't know if you have to run the game once to get it working or not.

Can't remember what the issue was, but it stopped me from playing it. When I got DS1 there where connectivity issues too. Think Batman was the only game with gfwl that I didn't have problems with.

Thing is, I've never had issues with DS and gfwl before this. Maybe it's dsfix? I deleted it but maybe there's something left over.

I used dsfix and it worked fine when I was playing.

Yeah same. But when I uninstalled last time dsfix remained. I had trouble loading DS until I deleted it and the dll. There could be a left over remnant making it impossible to sign into gfwl.
