i think there are more nintendo direct with monster hunter in it that one without it which is pretty weird when you think, it's supposed to be about new announcement

This is Monster Hunter 4G, not Monster Hunter 4, you incredible fuckwit magoose.  They're talking about it because announcing a handful of new monsters for it is big fucking news in Japan, and Nintendo Direct is their main method of marketing.  I don't know why you think it's only for new announcements.  It's never been only for new announcements.  It's their vehicle for promoting things like their exclusive on the hottest 3rd party property in Japan that has a new installment on the way.

i know that was 4G but honestly i couldn't distinguish what's new in it and what's not (i saw that there are some MH3 monster back, i guess that's one of the new thing?) maybe if they spent more than like 10 second between each clip...

even then if what is basicaly DLC is "big fucking news" then we truly live in sad times for japan videogames

Yeah man, nobody got excited about Street Fighter 2 Champion Edition/Turbo back in the day.

It's an expansion pack for the original game.  You know, like Portable 2nd G was.  Likely more hours of new content than the average Western console game's entire runtime.  But you know, I can see how its lack of appeal to European pirates who aren't even interested in MH at all could make a person question its place in a Japanese promotional video.  That makes sense.

I heard the mobile version of this game was crap, too.  Dunno why people are going out of their minds for Namco to localize it, but a lot of Tales fans are kinda crazy and can't tell the difference between a good game and a bad game because they're so desperate for Namco to throw them a bone.

This isn't even the first time that they made a Tales SRPG.  The last one they made was OK, since you engaged in LMBS-style battles when you engaged an enemy. And there was cooking in it, implemented in a way that made sense (ie: item use).  It didn't have the Fire Emblem-esque conversations that Tactics Union/Reve Unitia has, though.

Looks really easy and mindless. I'll still keep an eye on it because I really enjoyed all the Crystal Chronicles games.

yeah, it's an enhanced port of Tales of the World: Tactics Union which came out in 2012 or something on smartphones.  The 3DS version just has voice acting, cut-ins and new forms for two of the characters exclusive to Tactics Union.

The SRPG I was talking about was Narikiri Dungeon 3 for GBA.  It was ok.  I liked the first Narikiri Dungeon (esp its remake) a lot more since it had a class system (though that wasn't an SRPG).  Not entirely fond of a lot of the Tales spinoffs tbh.
